Στο πλευρό της Πρέσβεως βρέθηκαν επίσης μέλη της οικογένειάς της και στενοί φίλοι, οι οποίοι ταξίδεψαν ειδικά από το Ισραήλ για να μοιραστούν μαζί της αυτή τη σημαντική στιγμή. Και όποιος βρέθηκε ανάμεσα στους προσκεκλημένους εκείνη την ημέρα — ανάμεσα σε ελληνικές μελωδίες και ισραηλινές γεύσεις, συζητήσεις, αγκαλιές και υψωμένα ποτήρια — μπορούσε να διακρίνει από κοντά κάτι που μερικές φορές είναι δύσκολο να αποτυπωθεί με λόγια: Ο δεσμός μεταξύ Ισραήλ και Ελλάδας δεν είναι μόνο μια σχέση μεταξύ κυβερνήσεων.
