A Miniszterelnökség nemzetbiztonsági érdekre hivatkozik, pereskednek az adatokért, az ügy körüli politikai nyomás pedig hozzájárul az akkori független Origo szétveréséhez. Most előkerültek az iratok. Klaus Mangolddal, a „Mr. Oroszországként” emlegetett német lobbistával tárgyal, aki Putyint személyesen ismerte, később pedig évekig dolgozott az Orbán-kormánynak. Rothschild mint a magyar kormány lehetséges „független tanácsadója”. SAP-s állami együttműködések. És külföldi kommunikációs cégek, amelyek értenek a kritikus média kezeléséhez, közös brainstorminggal megfejelve. Amikor az akkori független Origo elkezdte kapargatni Lázár drága és titkolt útjait, a Miniszterelnökség nemzetbiztonsági érdekre hivatkozva nem árulta el a részleteket. Lázár végül inkább visszafizette három út csaknem kétmilliós szállásköltségét. Az ügy körüli politikai nyomás pedig hozzájárult ahhoz a folyamathoz, amelyben kirúgták Sáling Gergő főszerkesztőt, a szerkesztőség jelentős része felállt, az Origo pedig később a kormányzati propagandagépezet része lett.
