A reduction of 8 percent would mean a weakening of our ability to act, precisely at a time when Europe is being asked to do more in terms of competitiveness, defense, and security. As a result, Europe would be less able to protect its citizens and economically compete with the major world economies. This would mean inadequate funding for agriculture and a reduction in support for our regions," the rapporteurs for the budget and joint resources Siegfried Mureșan (EPP), Carla Tavares, Danuše Nerudová (EPP), and Sandra Gómez López (S&D) assessed in a joint statement. #EuProračun #VarčneDržave #Pogajanja (translated)

"Russia today expressed gratitude for the lifting of sanctions on diesel exports by dropping five glide bombs on residential buildings in Zaporizhzhia. Unfortunately, twelve people have been confirmed dead so far, including three children. I express my condolences to all their families and loved ones. Fourteen other people were injured, of whom two are in critical condition – doctors are fighting for their lives. The status of twelve individuals who may have been at the location is still being verified. All emergency services are on the ground, and search and rescue operations are underway. Thirteen of our regions were attacked during the night. Residential buildings, infrastructure, and railway facilities have been damaged. Last night once again confirmed that Russia interprets any easing of pressure as a sign that it can continue its warfare and drop bombs on cities. Different signals are needed. Russia must understand that it needs to stop the war, and for that to happen, it must feel the consequences of its losses. This is precisely what our long-range capabilities currently make possible. And we will respond to Russian attacks. I thank everyone who is assisting," wrote Zelensky. #Zaporižja #Rusija #Zelenski (translated)

The regulation is aimed at providing autonomy and powers to cities and regions to tackle the housing crisis in terms of limiting short-term rentals. Across the EU, cities have previously implemented restrictive measures, but they often ended up in courts, with the European Commission even initiating infringement proceedings against certain member states due to these measures by cities. Now it is regulated in such a way that if a city or region clearly demonstrates that it is under so-called housing stress, they have the legal right to implement restrictive measures," said Bosanac in a statement to Hina. #priuštivoStanovanje #stambenaKrizа #kratkoročniNajam (translated)

🐾Spoštovani, dejansko še ni prišlo do nobene spremembe zakonodaje! 🐾Zakon o veterinarstvu bomo obravnavali komaj septembra. 🐾Potem bomo dejansko imeli ZAGOTOVLJENO NUJNO VETERINARSKO POMOČ. Ne more vsaka ambulanta dežurati. Manj konkurence vedno vodi v to smer.

#Vojna #Ukrajina #Rusija
