Jan Betlach wrote that the American army studied Israeli combat medical procedures in order to increase the chances of injured soldiers' survival. According to his contribution, the share of deaths among the injured decreased from approximately 15% during the Second Lebanon War in 2006 to 7% in the Iron Sword War. Betlach stated that the Israeli army implemented doctors in every company, blood products for on-site treatment, and real-time patient data sharing. Referring to the Israeli army, he wrote that blood products have been used since 2013 and that it was the first in the world to provide plasma to the injured in the field instead of saline solution. He also mentioned rapid evacuation to hospitals, in the most severe cases by helicopter, and the availability of advanced emergency care immediately or within four minutes; in 2006, it took 15 to 20 minutes according to him. In April, according to Betlach, the American army issued a 78-page report recommending the adoption of Israeli procedures. Its authors wrote that Israel underwent a painful transformation directly in combat and that the United States can avoid it. Betlach also noted that a spokesperson for the Israeli army described the report as a result of cooperation between the two armies and stated that American officers came to gain experience. https://t.co/HFQD5mS5Rx https://t.co/CJty7LjEkh #armáda #medicína #zdravotníctví (translated)

CohenTheBarbarian stated that despite their hard-earned experiences, many soldiers still wore synthetic clothing as their first layer. He claimed that in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, there were likely numerous components of uniforms made from flammable materials due to cost. He added that in the front line, he saw soldiers whose three layers were all flammable, and their injuries were terrible. He urged readers to keep this risk in mind if they ever faced a "trial by fire." #vojáci #uniformy #bezpečnost (translated)

Jan Betlach described the story of the crews of the 118th squadron from the morning of October 7, 2023, which he claimed originated from the Israeli Air Force. Four Sikorsky CH-53 Sea Stallion helicopters left the Tel Nof base with the mission to transport paratroopers to the border with Gaza. Each carried approximately 50 soldiers, more than usual, and the crews, according to Betlach, did not receive air cover because other aircraft were protecting the border fence. Near the kibbutz Alumim, the lead helicopter spotted men on motorcycles, whom the crew deemed likely Palestinian terrorists. While attempting to land elsewhere, the aircraft was hit and made an emergency landing. The onboard mechanic, according to Betlach, manually opened the back doors, and all approximately 50 soldiers exited unharmed. The second helicopter dropped off its soldiers and waited while gunfire and mortar shells fell on the crew. The crew of the hit aircraft ran across open terrain to it; shortly after, their abandoned helicopter was struck by another rocket. Betlach reported that the second pilot had a gunshot wound to the leg, and something was leaking from the tail of the second aircraft. The wounded pilot, according to him, returned to the cockpit a few hours later, and the paratroopers continued to engage in fighting near Beeri and Alumim. #Izrael #armáda #konflikt (translated)
