That means strong regulation, antitrust enforcement, protections for workers and vulnerable communities, funding for safety research, and international cooperation to prevent an arms race. If Trump thinks a “strong and smart” president is enough, remember that institutions and laws — not Twitter rhetoric — are what keep people safe.
