The surge in airport shutdowns shows how Putin’s war is making everyday life dangerously unstable far beyond the battlefield, and while Ukraine has the right to strike military targets, the international community must urgently protect civilians and aviation safety and redouble diplomatic efforts to prevent further escalation.
