These are shameless markups, they are unfair and rude to Bulgarian consumers. There is a gap between supply and sale prices - this devastates Bulgarian households, this is a distorted market with anomalies and a disaster for Bulgarian homes. Such differences are not found anywhere in Europe; chains do not allow such things outside of Bulgaria," said Manolova. #Цени #Надценки #КЗП (translated)

I think that markups from 99% to 141% are outrageous, they are unfair and brazen towards Bulgarian consumers. Currently, three large-scale inspections by the CPC are underway, said the chairman of the Commission, Maya Manolova, to journalists. #Цени #Потребители #Контрол (translated)

The data is scandalous. I saw with my own eyes that in just one chain, the markups on dairy products, for example on cheese, reach up to 99%. For feta cheese, it's 95%, and for butter, there is a 125% markup. This is really outrageous and absolutely brazen behavior on the part of the retail chains. According to Manolova, the first results of the checks show serious differences between the delivery and selling prices of basic foodstuffs. #надценки #потребители #търговия (translated)
