The widespread wrecking of Ukraine’s, Gaza’s and other nations’ cultural heritage—now well documented by satellites and eyewitnesses—exposes not just barbarism but the chronic failure of international law and political will, and progressives must demand stronger enforcement of UNESCO/ICC protections, immediate humanitarian relief, and unbiased accountability for all states and armed groups that erase peoples’ pasts and futures.
