DHS raid on Rep. Omar is a great example of very bad by rule-of-law democracy standards, pretty good by consolidated authoritarianism standards. Deeply wrong, with lies, bigotry, harassment, abuse of power. AND a sign of weakness, limited capacity, failure to make the dictatorship of their dreams.
“I have done everything humanly possible to give the government the benefit of the doubt in this case. I have done it repeatedly.” Why would you do that, judge? Did you think they deserve it on the merits? Did you expect that to get them to respect adverse rulings rather than take it as permission?
