The author warned of the risk of the IMEC project sinking, which would connect India commercially with Europe via Greece, and questioned whether it would have the same outcome as the EastMed. He noted that the warning followed a response he received from the European Commission regarding support for a competing project. https://t.co/GvyKvJAhO0 #Ναυάγιο #IMEC #Ευρώπη #GR #IN #EU (translated)

Chris Avramidis mentioned that in a few days there would be a large solidarity concert in Halkidiki for a person facing serious health problems and, as he wrote, had refused money from Eldorado. He said that the event could also give a new boost to a movement that, according to him, had suffered persecution, repression, and imprisonments. He reminded of incidents of night police raids on homes and arrests in front of families. Avramidis linked the concert to a similar event against gold mining that had taken place 12 years earlier with almost the same people. He referred to an earlier interview he had with Thanasis Papakonstantinou, who, as he described, had spoken about the protection of the Earth, the relationship of the inner world with the environment and other people, as well as the role of the artist. According to Avramidis, Papakonstantinou had dedicated a song to Eldorado. He said that he had condensed the interview into a short video and that the full version included, among other things, Papakonstantinou's criticism of communist ideology and its approach to the environment, as well as references to previous statements by Antonis Remos in support of Antonis Samaras. He added that the musician had satirized the then-prime minister. The concert, which according to the post would take place on Friday in Ierissos, would feature Thanasis Papakonstantinou, Giannis Aggelakas, Pavlos Pavlidis, Irini Skylakaki, Giannis Charoulis, Natassa Bofiliou, Dimitris (Chaineis) Apostolakis, Social Waste, Dimitris Mystakidis, Matoula Zamani, and Andriana Achitzanova. Avramidis mentioned that Pavlos Aslanidis, president of the association of victims' relatives from the Tempe disaster, and Kyriakos Panagiotopoulos, emeritus professor of Soil Science at Aristotle University, would speak at the event. He also stated that local residents had invited him to participate and coordinate the event, while expressing his determination not to back down against authority. #antireport #skouries #συναυλία #αλληλεγγύη #Χαλκιδική (translated)
