Kostas Vaxevanis wrote that the arrest of the president of LAOS, Philippos Kampouris, for fraud against the State confirmed, in his opinion, the saying that patriotism is the last refuge of scoundrels. He argued that Kampouris claimed to defend the homeland while stealing from it, and that hyper-patriotism served as a cover. He characterized Kampouris's image as hyper-patriotic and cheap and presented it as a sample of the era. #πολιτική #διαφθορά #πατριωτισμός (translated)
