Don Shelby shared several curiosities about Spanish on the occasion of the Day of Hispanity. He stated that the "ñ" arose from a medieval abbreviation and that it did not have an exact equivalent sound in other traditional alphabets. He also pointed out that Spanish used double question and exclamation marks, officially adopted by the Royal Spanish Academy in 1754 to anticipate the tone of sentences. Shelby indicated that "electroencephalographist," with 23 letters, was the longest official word, and that "e" was the most commonly used letter, followed by "a." He added that "e" appeared most frequently in *Don Quixote*, by Miguel de Cervantes. Lastly, he said he regretted that Spanish was not the universal language and considered it, by far, the most beautiful on the planet. #Hispanidad #IdiomaEspañol #Cultura (translated)

Sabrina F. wrote that defending fundamental rights should not be defined as racism and distinguished her critique of a model of society from hostility towards a religion. She argued that in that model, the law would be subordinate to a sacred text, that changing faith or loving a person of the same sex could lead to severe penalties, and that in 2026, in ten states, the death penalty could be at risk for the latter reason. She also cited marriages with girls aged 9 and restrictions imposed on women, including beatings by moral police for the veil. According to Sabrina F., the separation between religion and law and equality before the law were principles enshrined in the Constitution. She criticized what she described as a selective silence on the rights of LGBTQ+ people and women: she wrote that in half of the planet, rainbow flags could lead to life imprisonment or the death penalty and recalled the case of a twenty-year-old beaten by the moral police for the veil. She added that in too many countries opening a church could lead to prison and argued that accepting laws applied differently in the same society was neither inclusion nor openness. #DirittiUmani #LibertàDiCredo #GiustiziaSociale (translated)

Marco Setaccioli wrote that a video showed the attack that took place the previous evening in Pisochyn, in the suburbs of Kharkiv, where, according to his post, Russian forces struck a supermarket while it was open. He reported that three people had died — a 16-year-old boy, a 19-year-old girl, and a 51-year-old woman — and that another 25 were injured, including two girls aged 13 and 9. Setaccioli added that the store was located in a densely populated residential area, near multi-story buildings and shops. Citing the prosecutor's office, he indicated that the strike occurred around 7:25 PM. In commenting on the attack, he claimed that Kremlin supporters, even outside Russia, were encouraging Moscow to hope that support for those fighting for their freedom would diminish. He accused them of being complicit in the victims' plight and wrote that, after a possible collapse of Moscow, they would not be able to escape the shame of having supported what he called the 21st-century Reich. #Ucraina #Kharkiv #Guerra (translated)

MAXI shared statements from Nicolás Tagliafico, who questioned the format of Argentine football tournaments and said he had begun to lose some of his affection for that football. According to Tagliafico, the quality had declined since the days when he grew up with the Apertura and Clausura tournaments with 20 teams, and the current A and B group system contributed to that feeling. He added that his possible return to Argentine football would depend on how the situation evolved. The publication cited Clank Media as the source of the video. https://t.co/OmUHNtkIrg #FútbolArgentino #NicolásTagliafico #TorneosDeFútbol (translated)
