MAXI accused Tapia of trying to hold River responsible for the problems during Messi's farewell. He stated that Tapia was attempting to distance himself from what happened at the Monumental and claimed that he had lied about the dates of the LED screen, had not taken responsibility for the hired producer, and had sold more tickets than the stadium's capacity. As evidence, he pointed out that River announced the dismantling of the screen on July 8, 2026, while the AFA confirmed the match against Benin and Messi's presence on September 15, two months and a week later. According to MAXI, these dates contradicted Tapia's version. #Fútbol #RiverPlate #AFA (translated)
