She argued that he was not the only one responsible for sending an innocent person to prison and called the facts and the crimes very serious. Bencivenga said she hoped to see him again only in court, along with his collaborators, and invited him to contact her privately if he wanted to sue her. Karina Michelin stated that on Sunday, October 11, the Amazon was still burning and that the smoke in Manaus was affecting residents, while classes were suspended and firefighters were working at their limit. She also reported that a firefighter became ill during the firefighting efforts and had to be carried by colleagues. Michelin said that the Amazon Fire Department requested reinforcements from the federal government on September 18, including four aircraft, transportation, and vehicles. According to her, on October 1, the National Public Security Secretariat, linked to the Lula government, responded that the request could not be met at that moment. The author stated that the federal government claimed the state had waived support and cited 229 extinguished fires and another 20 still being fought. She said the aircraft began to arrive on October 10, following a wave of complaints on social media. The author compared the current mobilization with that of 2021, during the Bolsonaro government, when Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, Maria Bethânia, and Chico César participated in the song "Canção pra Amazônia," by Greenpeace. She questioned the absence of a similar mobilization in light of the situation of residents and firefighters. Michelin called Lula and the Amazonas government hypocrites and demanded explanations about who had denied or waived help and when reinforcements arrived at the fire line. She also stated that human and animal lives threatened by smoke should take precedence over political disputes. #Amazônia #Incêndios #MeioAmbiente (translated)

The majority is going through a delicate moment, a war of the Roses, a night of the long knives: you have been forced to establish no less than three votes of confidence because you do not trust one another. But what I find disconcerting is that in a country that has the lowest wages in Europe and the highest bills in Europe, the longest waiting lists, we have here - if I were the director I would frame the front row of the government - the Minister of Justice and Health, the Minister of Tourism, Environment and Culture, and others will join, forced to oversee the electoral law; you do not deal with the problems of Italians because you are responsible for the worsening living conditions, you have become serial liars and hide the crisis with your propaganda." This was stated by Angelo Bonelli of Avs, in a final vote declaration on the electoral law, pointing the finger at the majority and the government, which were massively present in the Chamber in view of the final secret vote. #LeggeElettorale #Melonellum #PoliticaItaliana (translated)

The numbers that really matter to Italians are the rise in shopping cart costs, record taxes, the surge in fuel and energy prices, and waiting lists. Yet at Palazzo Chigi, it seems the numbers that count are different: the electoral thresholds, the seats on the list, the seats. This was stated in the Chamber of Deputies by the president of the 5 Star Movement, Giuseppe Conte, during the voting declarations on the electoral law. #LeggeElettorale #Melonellum #PoliticaItaliana (translated)
