The Crime of Icarus described Daria as a 37-year-old caretaker at Jan Paweł II Primary School in Leszczydół-Nowiny near Wyszków, a wife and mother of two children. It wrote that residents remembered her as kind and liked by students. It added that in 2014 she got married. According to the author's account, on October 8 around 9 AM, a 15-year-old Viktor, a former student of the school, entered the building with three knives. Citing findings from "Fakt," The Crime of Icarus wrote that the teenager began waving one of the knives, and when Daria confronted him, he attacked her and stabbed her multiple times with the sharp tool. The woman died despite resuscitation efforts. The author reported that the school's principal, Krzysztof Ochmański, heard the screams and tried to subdue the attacker. The principal and a teacher who came to assist him were also injured. According to the principal's account cited by the author, Ochmański shielded himself with a board, pushed the teenager down the corridor, and urged others to flee and call the police. Ultimately, he managed to persuade him to drop the knives. The Crime of Icarus wrote that in one of the classrooms that the principal tried to protect was Daria's child, while the other was on a school trip. It added that Ochmański had not heard of any conflicts involving the woman and the students. According to the author, Viktor graduated from school in the previous academic year and had been studying at a technical school in Wyszków since September. His older sister reportedly told a "Fakt" reporter that the teenager had previously mentioned setting a church on fire and attacking people with a knife. Relatives had treated these statements as jokes. The author noted that this was a family member's account and not a determination of the motive for the crime. The Crime of Icarus reported that the teenager had been detained and the case was being handled by the family court in Wyszków. There had been no decision yet on whether he would be tried for murder under adult laws. The author emphasized that Daria had a name, a family, and her own life, and her death took a mother away from two children and a wife away from her husband. He also pointed out that dramatic events often become subjects of jokes, sensational recordings, and attempts to gain popularity on the internet, even though they affect real families. #tragedia #bezpieczeństwo #szkoła (translated)
