Fernando Schwabe wrote that G2 Esports, the fourth seed of VCT Americas, defeated 100 Thieves, the current Americas champion, by 2 to 0 and remained in the upper bracket of Champions Shanghai 2026. According to him, the team would face on Saturday (10), at 9 am Brasília time, the winner of VIT against NS. 100 Thieves would await the loser of that match and play on Friday (9), at 9 am, in an elimination match.
