Crocodyle wrote that obtaining cards was smooth at the beginning of the game, but after 15 to 20 hours and with 50 cards, he felt a rise in difficulty that he did not like in free-to-play. He said he was considering improving conditions for free-to-play players, which would also have an indirect effect on the premium experience. He added that his progress in free-to-play allowed him to adjust rewards according to his impressions. #FreeToPlay #Gaming #JeuxVidéo (translated)

Hasheur 4d

Hasheur condemned the accumulation of new reporting obligations, data leaks, security issues, and tax rules targeting crypto investors in France. He also criticized a proposal that would make the declaration of large portfolios mandatory, arguing that sharing this sensitive information in the current security context would expose investors. However, he welcomed the possibility of deferring capital losses over ten years. On the other hand, he found concerning the amendment that would make the transition from a cryptocurrency to a stablecoin taxable. According to him, this measure would eliminate tax flexibility, allowing investors to secure their gains without paying tax immediately before withdrawing their profits. Hasheur clarified that the amendment, brought by Nicolas Sansu and deputies from the GDR group, including communists, had been adopted in the finance committee on October 7, but that it had not yet been definitively voted on and therefore had no force of law. He felt that the direction taken was not reassuring and stated that he could no longer believe that the situation made sense. #Crypto #Fiscalité #Investissement (translated)

Dividend King 👑 4d

Dividend King criticized an amendment which, according to him, would propose extending the duration of the Exit Tax to 15 years, compared to the current two or five years. He explained that this provision allowed the French state to tax the unrealized capital gains of certain taxpayers leaving the country, even if they had not sold their securities. According to his description, the taxation could be canceled if the securities were held for two or five years, depending on their value, but would become payable in the event of a sale before the end of the period. He also indicated that financial guarantees could be required depending on the destination country. Dividend King believed that a 15-year period would prevent taxpayers from selling without the French taxation on capital gains accumulated before their departure and could be contrary to European law. He added that the individuals concerned would still have to declare these capital gains to the French tax authorities, even after ten years of living and paying taxes in another country. He presented the amendment as a signal encouraging people to leave France before being subject to the Exit Tax and claimed that socialism ultimately erects barriers to prevent people from leaving. #ExitTax #Fiscalité #Expatriation (translated)

“If everything you offered wasn’t enough, offer your absence” - Mario Benedetti “The 15 Million Men America Has Lost to Marriage America has a problem that is remarkably difficult to discuss without changing the subject: young men are disappearing from marriage. In 2000, there were 20.7 million unmarried men aged 20–39 and 18.1 million married men—a gap of 2.6 million. By 2025, there were 30.4 million unmarried men but only 15.4 million married men. The gap had exploded to roughly 15 million. That is not a minor cultural adjustment. It is a demographic earthquake. The explanation cannot simply be that men have become unwilling to “grow up.” Economic and educational changes matter. Unpartnered men have lower education, employment and earnings than partnered men. In 2019, 26% of unpartnered prime-working-age men had a bachelor’s degree, compared with 37% of partnered men. Meanwhile, women have made enormous gains in education and economic independence. Marriage is therefore no longer an economic necessity for women to the same extent it once was. The consequences are visible. In 1980, 63% of Americans aged 25 were married; by 2021, only 22% were. The share with a child fell from 39% to 17%. By 2021, one quarter of 40-year-olds had never married, compared with 6% in 1980. And 39.5% of U.S. births in 2024 occurred outside marriage. None of this proves that marriage guarantees happiness, or that being unmarried makes someone dysfunctional. Nor does the 15-million figure mean 15 million men will never marry. But pretending that family formation is irrelevant is equally absurd. A society cannot manufacture spouses for people. Nor should it. But it can create conditions in which work, competence, responsibility, commitment and family formation are attainable—and respected. Instead, we have increasingly normalised economic dependence, digital isolation and permanent adolescence while treating personal choice as though it has no social consequences. The 15-million gap is therefore more than a marriage statistic. It is a warning that millions of young men are failing to make the transition into the responsibilities of adult life” - ChatGPT
