The map of European gas suppliers has significantly changed over the past five years due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine and the need to diversify energy resource sources, which has led to increased LNG imports and a greater role for other suppliers, such as Norway and the USA. #gāze #enerģija #ģeopolitika (translated)
The most intense combat operations have taken place in the same areas as in recent weeks: the direction of Pokrovsk and Konstantynivka in Donetsk, the southern Slobozhansky direction in Kharkiv region, the direction of Huliaipole in Zaporizhzhia, and the direction of Lyman in Donetsk continues. Currently, security risks are high, especially in the border area where border construction is taking place and significant defense issues are being addressed. Each municipality has a civil protection plan, and municipal deputies are part of this system. Therefore, it is essential to prevent situations where individuals with access to security-related information or who play a significant role in crisis management may fall under the influence of Russia or Belarus. The chairman of the Saeima Defense Committee responsible for the bill, Raimonds Bergmanis ("United List"), previously emphasized that municipal deputies play a crucial role in the civil protection system, and therefore, in the current security situation, it is necessary to mitigate possible risks. #Latvija #NacionālāDrošība #Saeima (translated)

Milei's repentants stated that in a private school in Lomas, naked images of underage female students had been created using artificial intelligence and that a catalog had been sold on pedophile websites. According to the author, the material included the names and surnames of the young girls and the address of the school. He also noted that some people argued that this technology should not be regulated. https://t.co/PTJUbJcHTd #Justicia #DerechosInfantiles #IA (translated)
An abnormal message, as the country needs unity. Everyone wants the war to end, and everyone is doing what they are supposed to do in their role. This plan has also been commented on by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. #Ukraina #KaraIzbeigsana #MieraPlans (translated)

Strengthening the role of the Russian language in Uzbekistan with Latvian taxpayers' money. This has happened due to the funding allocated to the organization Marta Center by the Society Integration Foundation (SIF) - 11,734 euros. The goal of the project is to “promote the involvement and capacity strengthening of Latvian civil society organizations in an international cooperation project aimed at preventing gender-based violence and developing a support system in Uzbekistan, providing methodological tools and training for local NGOs and other interested partners to improve the identification, support, and social integration of victims of violence.” The project has been implemented in a multilingual environment and the methodological (!!!) and informational materials are available in Russian and Uzbek. Thus, the methodological materials are in Russian. At a time when the Latvian budget lacks funds and we are not always able to help our people, the presence of the Russian language in Uzbekistan is being promoted at the expense of all society's resources. This case once again shows that SIF should either be liquidated or seriously reformed and cannot continue like this.
