"We don't want windmills. (...) Show me a country with green energy, and I will show you a bankrupt country. You know, Germany tried it. They were about two days away from extinction." President Donald Trump claimed at a campaign event that the energy transition had brought Germany to the brink of disaster. "I will impose a 250 percent tariff on your damn wine and all the crap you send us. I will impose a 250 percent tariff on your wine, your champagne, and everything you send us, Emmanuel." At the same time, he threatened him, according to his own account in a phone call, with additional tariffs of 250 percent if French pharmaceutical companies did not offer their medications in the United States at lower prices. "I call him Muhammad. Someone said his name is not Muhammad, but Abdul. (...) I am the president. I can call him whatever the hell I want. To me, he is Muhammad. And he is a radical jihadist." Furthermore, Trump made derogatory remarks about the Muslim politician Abdul El-Sayed, who is running for the Senate for the Democrats. #Trump #Russland #Energiepolitik (translated)

In his first Sevillian rally of this pre-campaign, the president of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, promised that, if he wins, he will not only maintain but also "strengthen" his housing policy. Sánchez asks that decrees not be used to pit small property owners against tenants, but the very tone of the report sent by the Minister of the Presidency, Félix Bolaños, to the Cortes is hostile towards the private activity of renting out houses. #Vivienda #Alquiler #Gobierno (translated)

Tuukka Kuru wrote that European nations had formed from the merging of the same ancestral populations, which he believed explained their similar phenotypes and genetic relatedness. He added that 90 percent of the genes of Finns were the same as those of other Europeans, although Finns had genetic peculiarities. Kuru asked how it could be concluded, in his opinion, that nations and races that had never lived there should be deliberately settled in Europe and Finland. #Eurooppa #kansat #geneettika (translated)

Anna wrote that US media would exceed themselves in attacking Donald Trump and supporting Volodymyr Zelensky. She claimed that Zelensky is more popular than ever in the US, while Trump’s approval ratings continue to decline. According to her assessment, nearly every second post on X is directed against Trump – even on Elon Musk's platform. As an example, Anna mentioned Ben Meiselas, a lawyer and co-founder of MeidasTouch. He had warned that Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent may have committed a crime in connection with a diesel deal and referred to "criminal behavior." Meiselas explained in a video the laws that Bessent allegedly violated. Trump’s immunity does not apply to the Treasury Secretary, Anna wrote. She described the development against Trump as an avalanche that he himself triggered. #Trump #Selenskyj #Medien (translated)

From this, he derived the demand to combat right-wing extremist politics before it unfolds its worst consequences. #Holocaust #Rechtsextremismus #GegenNazis #DE (translated)
