Now the focus shifts to issues arising from the developed world, the "biggest culprits" in terms of debt, according to IMF director Kristalina Georgieva, but which may not remain limited there. Georgieva states that debt and energy, along with the AI boom that stimulates some economies but bypasses most, are the main themes of the week. #FMI #datorie #inflație (translated)

Now we start from the perspective of "look, we want to scare you - we have X threats that humanity is facing." We start from the premise that if you are today a decision-maker, whether at the global multilateral level or at the national level, these are the potential threats you may face, and this is the scope through which, if you take action, you can really make a difference. Ibrahim Abubakar, a member of the commission and professor of infectious disease epidemiology at UCL, said: "We do not start from the perspective of 'look, we want to scare you - we have X threats that humanity is facing.' We do not start from the idea of saying: "Look, we want to scare you – here are the threats that hang over humanity." We start from the premise that if you can decide in the present – whether at a global multilateral level or at a national level – these are the potential threats you could face, and if you act, you can indeed make a difference," said Ibrahim Abubakar, a member of the commission and professor of infectious disease epidemiology at University College London. #amenințăriglobale #inteligențăartificială #războinuclear (translated)

The use of a woman's drama solely for partisan benefit seems profoundly immoral to me. Maggie Python wrote that Karol Nawrocki's veto contributed to the tragedy in which — as she reported — several people were injured and one died. She claimed that the government wanted to block online, among other things, criminal threats, murder contracts, pornography, encouragement of suicides, and content from extremist forums. The author accused Nawrocki of justifying the veto with opposition to censorship while simultaneously attracting young people, among other things, through confrontation with a Filipino man and calls for access to weapons. She asserted that he did this to gain support from young followers of Grzegorz Braun and others she described derogatorily. She added that Donald Tusk would still find a way to bypass the veto. #Polska #Weto #Bezpieczeństwo (translated)
