Ivan Bartoš stated that more than two years ago, as a minister, he proposed a comprehensive reform of the Office for the Protection of Competition. According to him, the office should serve as a tool for powerful individuals to influence public contracts and the flow of billions into their pockets rather than having a control function. He cited its head, Mlsna, whom he described as a favorite of Miloš Zeman and a friend of Zbyněk Stanjura and Blažek. Bartoš wrote that the ODS (Civic Democratic Party) stopped the reform and he subsequently left the government. According to him, the reform was prepared by experts and was meant to bring the Czech Republic closer to Western democracies. Bartoš referred to an index of oligarchs' influence on politics, which he said the magazine The Economist ranked the Czech Republic second only to Russia. He added that in the previous government only the Pirates wanted to address the issue, but Stanjura blocked their efforts. Bartoš also stated that the Pirates have now won the dispute with the company ČEPRO, which had to provide information about contracts for Agrofert. According to him, the company awarded contracts worth over 10 billion directly to Agrofert without competition, and another 9 billion without competition during the government of Petr Fiala. Bartoš added that it is necessary to fight against corruption in the state and that he will continue to do so. #korupce #politik #reforma (translated)

Vojtěch Boháč wrote that twenty-six-year-old Ilja Meškov, who according to him left Russia eight years ago, graduated from the University of Economics in Prague and a school in Texas, and after six years in the Czech Republic obtained Czech citizenship. According to Boháč, he became a partner in a Czech company focused on investments in European data centers for artificial intelligence within two years, responsible for venture capital. Boháč stated that Meškov's father is a Russian military colonel who heads a department at Bauman Moscow State Technical University, and his mother previously worked in the army and at this university. She is now, according to him, retired and has a Czech visa since this year; she travels to Prague as the wife of an active Russian colonel and career military officer. Boháč also claimed that ordinary Russians find it very difficult to obtain a visa to the Czech Republic after 2022. Citing an article that he believes described the story, Boháč posed questions about how Meškov's mother managed to obtain a visa, who has access to key data infrastructure in the EU, and how to assess the privacy of young Russians from military families who, according to him, have never actually distanced themselves from the activities of their relatives. #Investice #Kyberbezpečnost #UměláInteligence (translated)

To be honest, I actually don't know if it was a happy choice. Nationwide politics and parliament have, I’m not afraid to say, minimal influence on the municipal level. You need to have people on the ground there. When I look at the Christian Democrats, even though they are weak in parliament or at the national level, with about 2.5 percent, they are huge in the municipalities," commented the Minister of Culture Oto Klempíř on this strategy. "For us, it is important to build an organization on the ground, to ensure its functioning and connectivity. This is an important goal because municipal elections have often been considered second-tier elections. However, I believe that this has changed and that municipalities are setting a very, very, very prestigious bar with their importance," Klempíř added. #volby #Praha #Motoristé (translated)

Ivan Bartoš appreciated the approach of the Army of the Czech Republic and the Chief of General Staff General Hlaváč. He stated that Hlaváč said the army does not intend to lend its name or prestige to events associated with people who question Euro-Atlantic commitments. Bartoš supported such an approach and thanked for it. At the same time, he stated that he expects it at events organized by people like Markvart, whom he derogatorily referred to as a collaborator of the StB. #ArmádaČR #GenerálHlaváč #EuroatlantickéZávazky (translated)
