Ulf Kristersson wrote that Sweden had stood by Ukraine's side since February 24, 2022, and would continue to do so as long as it was necessary. He called for increased pressure on Russia and stronger support for Ukraine. Kristersson lamented the U.S. agreement with Russia regarding diesel supplies and stated that energy revenues were central to the Russian war chest. He indicated that the EU would on Monday adopt its most comprehensive sanctions package to date, with 1,600 sanctions listings targeting the Russian military-industrial complex. He urged more countries to counter the Russian shadow fleet and eventually use frozen Russian assets for the benefit of Ukraine. He also emphasized the need for close coordination within the EU and with the U.S., the U.K., and other international partners. According to Kristersson, the broad political support and public engagement for Ukraine in Sweden were a strength, and Ukraine's freedom and sovereignty remained Sweden's top foreign policy priority. #Ukraina #Sverige #Ryssland (translated)
