Actu Foot reported that Bixente Lizarazu believed Kylian Mbappé was very effective in front of goal but contributed little defensively. He suggested that this could explain Zinédine Zidane's decision to place him on the left side and align Ousmane Dembélé centrally. According to Lizarazu, Dembélé was particularly suited to the high pressing desired by Zidane, but a striker for the French team needed to score more. He stated that Zidane should be trusted to find the right formula during an interview broadcast on Téléfoot. https://t.co/Hx59gqsz4v #Mbappé #Dembélé #Bleus (translated)

Actu Foot relayed the comments of Grégory Coupet, who praised Mike Maignan's play outside of his box and believed that Fabien Barthez had influenced his development. According to Coupet, the connection between Barthez and Zinedine Zidane allowed them to convey a common message and free the goalkeeper. He also noted that in Italy, Maignan worked a lot on his positioning within the 5.5 meters, while Barthez helped him update a French style. Actu Foot relayed an analysis from L’Équipe, which saw in Michael Olise a player with talent close to that of his coach, Zinédine Zidane. The newspaper presented him as his heir, while noting that he still had to progress before reaching Zidane's level, Ballon d'Or 1998. L’Équipe attributed to him qualities in dribbling, passing, crossing, and shooting, as well as a particular complicity with Kylian Mbappé, whom he enjoyed serving. The newspaper also noted that Olise, like Zidane, knew how to score from direct or indirect free kicks. However, it considered that Zidane had a better heading game and more flair in his play. #Olise #Zidane #Bleus (translated)

🚨 Thierry Henry 🇫🇷: "With Mbappé 🇫🇷? YOU CAN PLAY WELL. 🙌 It’s up to the coach to find a situation to put the team in the best possible opportunities. That will be Zizou's job, like that of all the coaches he has had before. And THAT IS HARD FOR A COACH. WHETHER IT'S MBAPPÉ OR NOT. ❌ You have to find the right balance (…) you have to adapt to each profile." #Mbappé #ThierryHenry #Football (translated)
