Dimitris Soudas wrote that, since the night before, several people had been trying to explain Éric Duhaime's success or to claim a part of it. He stated that Duhaime had achieved the best result for a conservative party in Quebec, at the provincial or federal level, since Brian Mulroney. According to Soudas, Duhaime had normalized conservatism in the province, built his party, and worked on the ground, all while keeping his course despite those who shunned him or advised taking distance. He attributed the victory to Duhaime, his team, and his activists, reminding that victories had many fathers while defeats were orphaned. #ÉricDuhaime #PolitiqueQuébécoise #Conservatisme (translated)
