Jones Manoel stated that 14 young people from Gravatá, in the interior of Pernambuco, were detained on Saturday (October 10) after a lambe activity in the streets, and that there was an attempt to frame the case as electoral crime. He said that the activists were denouncing actions by Flávio Bolsonaro and disputed the accusations of disseminating false news, stating that the material had journalistic foundation. Manoel described lambe-lambe as a historical form of popular communication used by social movements, artists, and political organizations to bring ideas and denunciations to the streets. He argued that any issues regarding heritage, property, or the use of public space should be addressed through legal means, without intimidation or selective criminalization. The author also stated that the actions of the activists were being treated as a police case, while other forms of advertising occupied the streets, and attributed to Bolsonaro's supporters a systematic strategy of intimidation to block the political change he advocated. #LiberdadeDeExpressão #Militância #LambeLambe (translated)

Leandro Ruschel stated that Edson Fachin was advocating for a reform of the Judiciary without altering guarantees, but he questioned which guarantees he was referring to. According to Ruschel, in recent years, the Federal Supreme Court had restricted constitutional rights such as free expression, association, and manifestation, in addition to the right to defense, the natural judge, and due process. He said this had occurred especially with people who did not align with what he called the court's leftism. Ruschel also criticized the defense that the reform should be made "with the Judiciary." According to him, it is up to the Legislative to draft laws, while the Judiciary should apply them and assess their compatibility with the Constitution. He added that courts can propose laws regarding their own organization, but the decision falls to Congress, and they cannot present constitutional amendments. For Ruschel, the expression used by Fachin would be a euphemism for the usurpation of Congress's powers. #Judiciário #Reforma #GarantiasCivis (translated)
