It lasted less than a day. Many were individuals who had been in prison or had problems with alcohol and drugs. They were transported by a group of people who crossed the border from Russia on buses and urged them to occupy the building. Once they were inside, they turned towards Russia. There was Motorola [Arsen Pavlov, a Russian paramilitary leader who would later intervene in the war in Donbas]. Our investigation led us to talk to detainees, analyze the documents they had left when they retreated, and visit the places where they had stayed. The conclusion was indisputable, and my thesis is that the preparation for the occupation of Donbas did not begin in 2014, after the Maidan uprising [the popular uprising that led to the fleeing of pro-Russian president Viktor Yanukovych], but much earlier, perhaps after the Russian invasion of Georgia in 2008. Close to a hundred Russians crossed the border dressed as civilians, as if they were tourists. They had no weapons. They went straight to Villa María. That is where they had left the uniforms and weapons with which they appeared on the streets of Sloviansk. The church employees were involved in the preparation, including a priest, who later became one of the leaders of the armed groups. #GuerraEnUcrania #Rusia #Donbás (translated)

The author wrote that she had received a chat about private conversations and that, upon arriving home, her grandparents, her parents, and an uncle raised their voices at her and told her that she was acting wrongly, which made her cry. She said she felt powerless for not being able to defend the fans and questioned the hostility towards them for loving BTS, as well as whether those who criticized them listened to what the group said. She also stated that a video in which, according to her, they had apparently seen a member of BTS and were yelling at him to get down had caused her anger and disgust. She closed by asking those still in Miraflores to return home safely, as she wrote that there were still many people there, including passersby, foreigners, tourists, fans, and people who were not. #Cultura #Impotencia #Fans (translated)

Patricia Bullrich announced that she would vote against the new appointment of prosecutor Susana Pernas. She stated that Pernas had requested prison for police officer Chocobar, who, according to Bullrich, had risked his life to stop a criminal who had stabbed a tourist, and who had later defended that sentence after its annulment. Bullrich maintained that prosecutors should protect society and pursue crimes, not defend criminals or pursue those who protect the population. She added that even if Pernas received a favorable ruling from the Agreements Commission and her appointment reached the chamber, she would vote against it. #VotoEnContra #Justicia #DerechosHumanos (translated)

Today in the Military World published a report attributed to Flydubai pilot Smit Machchhar, who said that the co-pilot stood up to pray and, a few minutes later, he attacked him. Machchhar stated that he tried to open the cockpit door, but the co-pilot closed it and he fell; when he managed to open it again, he saw people waiting to enter. The publication attributed the pilot's actions to the rescue of more than 170 people, mostly Jewish tourists, and described the incident as an Islamic terrorist attack. According to the account, the co-pilot attacked Machchhar with the hatchet kept in the cockpit for emergencies. #Voo #SegurançaAérea #Heroísmo (translated)

Abelardo De La Espriella said that he had inaugurated the Warsaw–El Delirio road in Sucre, a stretch of 3.2 kilometers that, he claimed, completed a strategic section of the Transversal of the Montes de María and improved the connection between Sincelejo and Toluviejo, the Route to the Sea, and the Gulf of Morrosquillo. He pointed out that more than $10.2 billion had been spent on the project and stated that it would facilitate the transport of crops, tourism, and commerce. He also claimed that, during his Government, the works would be completed and delivered on time, without undue cost overruns. He presented the project as part of progress that, as he wrote, should reach the territories. #Caminos #Desarrollo #Sucre (translated)

My housing decree: 1. Dedicate more resources to building public housing. (the current levels are lamentable) 2. Free up land and streamline permits. (to this day this is used by municipalities to gain more power) 3. Improve public transport and infrastructure to make underpopulated areas attractive. 4. Tax incentives for companies and workers who move to underpopulated areas. 5. Limit tourist housing in tense areas. (we need to choose whether we want cities to be for their residents or for tourists) 6. Toughen the conditions to convert residential housing into vacation rentals. 7. Raise taxes on empty homes for long periods and provide incentives to owners who rent out those homes. (If investment funds or foreigners want to have homes, they should at least contribute to increasing the supply in the rental market or pay, and those taxes should be allocated to public housing) 8. Facilitate the rehabilitation of abandoned buildings and homes. 9. Increase urban density where possible. 10. Provide legal security to rentals to increase the supply. (toughen anti-squat laws and stop introducing new regulations frequently) What would yours be? I'm listening. #Vivienda #Urbanismo #PolíticaSocial (translated)
