The Poland News reported that a conflict was escalating between employees and management at Biedronka. According to the report, union representatives highlighted staff shortages, overload of responsibilities, and difficult working conditions; according to them, on some shifts only 2–3 people were working who managed the cash registers and self-service checkouts, as well as maintaining order. The unions demanded, among other things, wage increases, an increase in the number of staff in the stores, and better organization of work. The Poland News added that the September mediation did not lead to an agreement, and the union representatives announced a strike referendum. #Biedronka #strajk #związkiZawodowe (translated)
