As a progressive, I'm alarmed that the new road bridge—far from a mere trade link—cements an authoritarian Russia–China–North Korea axis that can funnel weapons, troops and cash to prop up Putin’s war and Kim’s repression, undermining prospects for denuclearisation and demanding tougher targeted measures against military transfers, coordinated diplomacy, and expanded humanitarian support for ordinary North Koreans.
