Katarzyna Pełczyńska wrote that the statement, which was supposed to sound like a threat, she took as encouragement. She pointed out that if the party leaders from both sides of the dispute, as well as Mr. Patelnia, Mr. Mejza, and Matecki, were to leave the Parliament, the situation would be interesting. Pełczyńska added that the limitation to two terms in democracies usually pertains to directly elected offices, such as the country's president, village head, mayor, or city president. In her opinion, pathological systems form more quickly around such concentrated power. She believed that an executive power chosen collegially and collegiate bodies, such as the Parliament and councils, are more resistant to this because decisions are made by many people, and their composition changes from term to term. She emphasized that the system of Polish local government requires reflection and perhaps changes, such as strengthening the position of councilors. However, she opposed the removal of the term limit for presidents and mayors on the principle of "everyone or no one." As she wrote, according to such logic, one would also have to abolish the term limit for the President of Poland, which—she noted—nobody wants in Poland. She added that the effects of such a solution can be observed with Poland's eastern neighbors. #demokracja #polityka #władza (translated)

Katarzyna Pełczyńska wrote that the Sejm voted to prohibit the night sale of alcohol and its advertising. She reminded that a year earlier in Warsaw, a resolution on this matter was withdrawn from the city council's agenda, despite — as she assessed — clear support from residents in public consultations. According to her, PL2050 and Municipal Movements had to protest to achieve the adoption of the ban, which is in effect throughout Warsaw and has reduced the number of small bottles and night disturbances in the streets. Pełczyńska added that two weeks earlier, the national law project disappeared from the Sejm just before the vote, and its return required further protests. She expressed satisfaction with the adoption of the regulations and assured that they would be effective. She also asked why actions for citizens often encounter "strange circumstances" in the final stretch and require a ruckus. #alkohol #Sejm #Warszawa (translated)

Katarzyna Pełczyńska wrote that after many months of debates and disputes, a law on short-term rentals was adopted. According to her, the regulations gave residential communities and local governments more influence, which Poland 2050 had advocated. She simultaneously criticized the rejection of an amendment that was supposed to provide cooperative residents with a real opportunity to remove hotels adjacent to their premises. She described the legislators' decision as incomprehensible and encouraged checking how they voted. She announced further actions for affordable housing. #ustawa #mieszkania #społeczność (translated)

Katarzyna Pełczyńska wrote that early elections were called in Spain due to demands regarding available housing. She added that in France, young people protested against the deteriorating quality of public education, and the protesters cannot be — as she believes the right would like to present — limited to migrants. Pełczyńska stated that housing in Poland is among the least accessible in Europe, and is disappearing from the market due to investments in real estate and companies converting ordinary residential buildings into hotels. She also wrote that education is becoming increasingly privatized, a trend that has been ongoing for a decade. She wondered how many MPs send their children to public schools and assessed that parents who can afford it pay for tutoring. According to her, young people's opportunities for a good future depend on the wealth of their parents, and unequal chances for a decent life may eventually fracture the social community and lead to chaos. #Mieszkania #Edukacja #Nierówności (translated)

Katarzyna Pełczyńska pointed to Spain as a warning for those who consider housing issues to be insignificant. She wrote that yesterday and today in the cities there, people demanded housing security, and the Spanish right blocked a government package that included, among other things, limiting the mass purchase of apartments as "concrete deposits." #mieszkania #bezpieczeństwo #Hiszpania (translated)

Katarzyna Pełczyńska pointed out the contradiction between criticizing the Polish uniform when worn by women and later demanding universal military service for the young. Similarly, she compared the criticism of the Polish state with the demand to force young people into service and risk their lives in its defense. She described the debate "Mentzen vs. Mentzen" as a dispute within the Polish right between radical libertarianism and extreme individualism versus patriotism based on national community. In her opinion, during wartime, these attitudes were mutually exclusive, and a focus on one's own interests favored those who wanted to divide Poles and take away their freedom. She wrote that Putin's goal was to destroy social bonds, trust among Poles, and institutions of the state. She emphasized that the strength of the nation during the war relied on a community organized in the state and on cooperation, rather than exploitation. #Polska #patriotyzm #wojsko (translated)

What irony. Once a rebel, a journalist fighting against the arrogant establishment. Today he dances on a yacht, mocking investments in public services. He laughs at investments that allowed young working parents in small towns to send their child to daycare. At public transport, which allows for cheaper and faster commutes to work. At social housing, support for people with disabilities, vocational training in small towns, connecting sewer systems and the internet to places in Poland that would never be reached commercially. Mr. Stanowski reduces it to... "Haha, yachts." Mr. Stanowski, not everyone has a limousine, a chauffeur, money for private schools, and a villa near Warsaw. There are people who do not have all of this and need daycare, good public schools, trains, and buses for a dignified life. (translated)

35 billion PLN from the Recovery Plan has just entered Poland. By the end of the year, another 55 billion will flow in. We will execute the Recovery Plan by 100%! I am attaching the report. See where the money went: ENERGY: - construction of offshore wind farms in the Baltic Sea, from which electricity will flow for 7 million Poles, - we are replacing 15% of the electricity network with new ones. This allows people to connect photovoltaics and ensures safe electricity supply for businesses across Poland. HEALTH: - investments for 470 oncology and cardiology departments - 1300 pieces of new equipment (ultrasounds, MRIs, angiographs); - 3267 new places in long-term care; PUBLIC TRANSPORT: - 1908 new buses and trams, - 525 pieces of rolling stock (trains, cars, and locomotives) - all produced in Poland, - modernization of 1400 km of railway lines; - 15 bypasses around cities; - 305 eliminated dangerous points on the roads; SECURITY: - we created a Security and Defense Fund (23 billion PLN) - for the construction of shelters or dual-use infrastructure - investment in 4 Polish satellite observation systems for military needs and crisis management (e.g., floods, fires); DIGITALISATION: - over 540 thousand households connected to high-speed internet; - 12 thousand schools equipped with AI laboratories; - over 254 thousand people trained in digital skills; LOCAL POLAND AND SOCIAL SERVICES: - we built 1876 apartments under the SIM with support from the Recovery Plan; - we created 35 thousand places in nurseries; - 120 vocational education centers were established, training over 33 thousand workers in skills needed in the local job market; - over 1000 supported social economy entities - several thousand jobs for people with disabilities; - we carried out 635 water and sewage investments in rural areas. Thank you to the ministry employees for the model process. We already know that 1.5% of Poland's GDP growth this year is due to the National Recovery Plan. ;) #KPO #Polska #rozwoju (translated)

Gdy wyszłam z postulatem, że trzeba podnieść drugi próg podatkowy, usłyszałam: „to bez sensu”, „dlaczego minister funduszy mówi o podatkach?!”. Rok debaty i „wychodzenia przed szereg” i jest:) Rząd przyjął projekt ustawy zmieniającej progi podatkowe. W stawkę 32% będzie wpadać o połowę mniej ludzi - zamiast 2,4 mln, będzie to 1,2 mln podatników. A kilkadziesiąt tysięcy milionerów zamiast 14% ryczałtu - zapłaci normalną składkę zdrowotną i podatek.

Zróbmy proste „sprawdzam”, kto chce dać mieszkańcom Krakowa prawo, aby decydowali sami o sobie, a kto stoi po stronie korpo-najemców i patohoteli.

To wojna w Rosji. #Rosja #wojna #rafineria

Dobry wieczór! Dziś dwa małe zwycięstwa:
Ustawa ograniczająca milionowe zarobki lekarzy i fikcyjne etaty, dzięki autopoprawce rządu, skróciła swoje vacatio legis o połowę (choć podobno miało to być całkowicie niemożliwe).

I nagle, kilka godzin przed głosowaniem, PSL „interweniuje” u Marszałka Czarzastego i ustawa znika z planu głosowań. Tysiące tragedii i miliardowe koszty społeczno-gospodarcze spowodowane nadużywaniem alkoholu idą w kąt. #alkohol #ustawa #Polska
