The Chief of the General Staff of the Czech Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Miroslav Hlaváč, stated that the army withdrew the patronage of the commander of the Air Force from the Future Air Force conference. He cited information about the public activities, contacts, and actions of the individuals involved in the organization, which he claimed contradicted the security interests of the Czech Republic, the government's program declaration, and the interests of allies. Hlaváč said that the army did not want to lend its name or prestige to events associated with people who he claimed questioned Euro-Atlantic commitments. According to him, the organizers should have chosen between these individuals and the Czech Army; both could not coexist simultaneously. He added that the protection of state security and the credibility of the army took precedence. (translated)
