The Socios Wisła Kraków Association called on the Polish Football Association (PZPN), its president Cezary Kulesza, and Ekstraklasa S.A. to urgently investigate Legia Warsaw's decision to close the away section and to take actions that would allow an authorized group of Wisła fans to participate in the match scheduled for October 11. The association stated that it represents over 5,000 people and considered that the closure of the sector directly affects the community it represents. Socios referred to the response from the spokesperson of the Warsaw Police Headquarters, Chief Inspector Jacek Wiśniewski, given to editor Bartosz Karcz. According to the association, the police clarified that the correspondence was initiated by Legia, and the response concerned changes proposed by the club. It was not a post-control protocol nor a reaction to a specific match or incident; the police did not order the closure of the sector nor set a deadline for modernization. Socios emphasized that, according to the police's position, the decision to make the sector available was up to Legia as the organizer of the mass event. The association pointed out that Legia justified the closure of the sector until the end of 2026 with the scope and urgency of the works. In its opinion, the necessity and duration of the restriction should be supported by specific documentation. Socios also cited information from the Board of Greenery of the City of Warsaw, according to which Legia had been using city land serving the sector without a contract since 2017, and discussions regarding the regulation of this situation began in the summer of 2026. The association noted that Legia indicated the September international break as a convenient time to resolve the land issue. Socios demanded an examination of the documents, an urgent site visit involving both clubs, the police, PZPN, and Ekstraklasa S.A., as well as checking the schedule of works and the possibility of implementing alternative solutions. It also called for an assessment of Legia's decision in terms of competition rules and infrastructure and licensing issues, and subsequently for the public presentation of the findings before the match. The association declared support for TS Wisła Kraków S.A. in legal actions related to the exclusion of an organized group of fans, including financing the costs of proceedings and legal services. It emphasized that clarifying the matter after the meeting will not restore the fans' ability to participate in it. #WisłaKraków #Ekstraklasa #PZPN (translated)
