Jonatan Pallesen wrote to Rasmus Jarlov that Jarlov voted in 2015 to grant citizenship to 5,365 people from outside Europe as well as 4,210 children who accompanied them. Pallesen wrote that this might have been the largest number ever granted through a legislative proposal. Pallesen suggested that Jarlov could write if he now regretted his vote. He encouraged him to describe that mass grants of citizenship, according to Pallesen, had the serious consequence that career criminals among foreigners could not be deported, and that it had led to many victims of violence and sexual assault. He also suggested that Jarlov call the grant a mistake and expressed hope that the Danish Parliament would avoid repeating it. #statsborgerskab #udlændinge #politikk (translated)
