Actu Foot relayed, citing Marca via RMC Sport, the account of Pascal Ferré, former director of France Football and head of the Ballon d'Or. According to Ferré, an agent representing a player had asked him to advocate for his client's candidacy to the jury members. He had refused. After Ferré had stepped away to take a call, the agent left, leaving an envelope on the table. Ferré indicated that he had handed it over to reception without knowing the contents. He later encountered the agent again, but the agent did not mention the envelope. The identity of the agent and the player, as well as the contents of the envelope, remained unknown. #BallonDor #Football #Scandale (translated)

The owner of FC Rouen, Tarkan Ser, is among the 450 Turkish officials 🇹🇷 under investigation for illegal betting. Let's see what the investigation results will say, but we can applaud the efforts of the judiciary to (finally) try to clean up the backstage of Turkish football. #FCrouen #FootballTurc #Justice (translated)

Edu Aguirre (journalist and friend of Cristiano Ronaldo) explains the situation behind the scenes. For him, it's a betrayal: “There was a meeting on Tuesday night. Between the president of the federation, Jorge Jesus, and Cristiano. Jorge Jesus apologized to Cristiano for the disrespect of making him warm up for 30 minutes without putting him in the game. And he didn't just apologize privately. He also told him that he would apologize publicly. That he would publicly say that he had made a mistake. That was Jorge Jesus's promise to Cristiano. And then he goes to a press conference and spits out a whole series of lies that no one believes. That's why Cristiano explodes. He feels betrayed. That's all. That's how it is. Your coach comes to see you privately and says: "Listen, here's what happened, I understand, okay? I didn’t handle this well. We’re together. I’m sorry. If I have a press conference, I will clarify things. I will apologize. Don’t worry, everything will be fine. Everything will be resolved.” Then 12 hours later, you hold a press conference and make things worse for Cristiano, asserting your authority and making it clear that you are in charge and that Cristiano is just one player among others. Go home and move on. That's why I say: betrayal.” #CristianoRonaldo #football #trahison (translated)

🔥 Patrick Sébastien, clear-minded. He did the Restos once. 92. When he left, he was invited to the banquet afterwards. He said no. Singing for those who are hungry, then going to gorge himself backstage: that bothers him. Like the Ethiopia concert. Catering in the green room. Everyone is eating. He goes to the restaurant next door. Cash. And he adds: many did the Restos, not the Téléthon. Ten times more audience. The good conscience, we put it on hold. The main thing: that it brings in money for those who are hungry. There you go. No posing. No grand speeches. Just a guy who refuses the feast after the lesson of generosity. Would you have gone to the banquet? @PatSebastien #Solidarité #Générosité #Engagement (translated)

🚨 BREAKING !

🇺🇸🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿❌ 🗞️ @adrien_pittore #Boycott #Irlande #Football
