Wazza wrote that many were reacting with excessive agitation to Italy's draw, to Bastoni's goal, and to Donnarumma's performance, who was named the best on the field. He particularly criticized those who, in his opinion, had never left Italy but were excited because the national team had avoided defeat against France, a historic rival, while playing in France. He added that social networks had made people less reasonable and that both young people and older ones were competing to express the most pathetic reactions, instead of simply being happy about the result. #Italia #Calcio #Nazionale (translated)

Matteo Di Gangi wrote that he saw, after the match in Paris, signs of progress and a recognizable identity in the team, while urging not to exaggerate in judgments. In his opinion, France was on another level, but Italy had shown character, especially in difficult moments. Di Gangi described the first half as almost perfect, citing the doubling up on the wings, the few chances conceded, and the counterattacks built after regaining the ball. He noted that in the second half, France had increased the pace and intensity and that Olise had begun to make an impact, while Donnarumma had only been beaten by a shot that hit the crossbar. He pointed to the equalizing goal, which came from high pressing and an insight from Bastoni 60-70 meters from the goal, as an important sign. On a tactical level, Di Gangi said he believed Kean should not play wide, while acknowledging that in that match two wingers were needed to contain the opponents. He added that if Kean and Pio Esposito had played together, a linking player would have been needed behind them to avoid overlaps and drops in effectiveness. He concluded by saying that, after a long dark period, he was beginning to see a recovery and hoped that Mancini could find a tactical solution. #Calcio #Tattica #Identità (translated)
