Anuj wrote that he understood Rufián's decision not to lead the left, despite some people feeling betrayed. He argued that taking on that role would have meant leaving his party to head a space marked, as he said, by disputes between Podemos, Sumar, and other parties that had not demonstrated a common project over the past four years. He added that Rufián had faced criticism for exploring new ideological positions on security. Anuj maintained that a united candidacy would hardly have been able to govern and that, after an electoral defeat, the space could fragment again after a month. For this reason, he considered it absurd to sacrifice Rufián in the name of unity. He said the situation would have been different if Sumar, Podemos, and the other parties had shown coexistence and a shared project. #Política #Unidad #Izquierda (translated)
The announcement of the truce has been a surprise to me. But if the Russians accept an energy ceasefire, Ukraine will also accept it. If President Trump has negotiated it with Putin, let him tell us when it starts: we are ready and we will accept it. In the first reaction to Trump's announcement, Zelensky stated to the Axios portal that he was unaware of the existence of this ceasefire, although he added that he would accept it if his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, agrees to it. #Ucrania #Rusia #Trump (translated)
If the Spanish government under Pedro Sánchez has been able to refuse the increase of the military budget to 5% of GDP for fear of disrupting the social fabric, it is because it does not face the same degree of existential threats that Germany and other Eastern European NATO member countries face from a Putin who is at their doorstep and has even just threatened his neighbors with nuclear war. #DeudaNacional #EconomíaGlobal #Hegemonía (translated)

Gustavo Tutinha reported that Judge Marco Antônio Ibrahim, from the 23rd Chamber of Private Law of the TJRJ, ordered the match between Vasco and Boca Juniors to be held at Maracanã and took into account the history of conflicts between Vasco and the concessionaire Fla-Flu Serviços S.A. Tutinha stated that the magistrate pointed out that the club had already sought justice to use the stadium and that the concessionaire had repeated justifications related to the condition of the pitch, which could indicate a "personal issue" between the parties. According to Tutinha, Ibrahim also considered a Memorandum of Understanding between Vasco and the concessionaire. The club argued that the document guaranteed it four matches per season at Maracanã, excluding classics against Flamengo and Fluminense, and that any refusals should be based on objective technical and operational criteria. Tutinha added that Vasco pointed out a contradiction in how the concessionaire invoked the memorandum to restrict access but contested its binding force when it provided rights to the club. Ibrahim considered the document in his reasoning but did not make a definitive decision on the enforceability of all clauses. #Vasco #Maracanã #Justiça (translated)
