Alexandre Jardin stated that amendments prevented the National Assembly from completing the examination of a bill aimed at abolishing low emission zones (ZFE) on Thursday, October 8, and therefore from proceeding to the final vote. He cited amendment no. 7, submitted by Lisa Belluco and co-signed by 35 other deputies, which proposed to remove the sole article of the text. Jardin believed that this obstruction contributed to the continued exclusion of poor people from major cities amid a social crisis. He also wrote that the French had not been able to vote on the abolition of the ZFE, a vote he said was awaited by "8 out of 10 French people." He reminded that democracy allows for both debate and voting and mentioned 40MA and the ZFE Beggars. He listed among the signatories of the amendment Clémentine Autain, Alexis Corbière, François Ruffin, Sandrine Rousseau, Lisa Belluco, Pouria Amirshahi, Christine Arrighi, Léa Balage El Mariky, Karim Ben Cheikh, Benoît Biteau, Arnaud Bonnet, Nicolas Bonnet, Cyrielle Chatelain, Hendrik Davi, Emmanuel Duplessy, Charles Fournier, Marie-Charlotte Garin, Damien Girard, Steevy Gustave, Catherine Hervieu, Jérémie Iordanoff, Julie Laernoes, Tristan Lahais, Benjamin Lucas-Lundy, Julie Ozenne, Sébastien Peytavie, Marie Pochon, Jean-Claude Raux, Sandra Regol, Jean-Louis Roumégas, Eva Sas, Sabrina Sebaihi, Danielle Simonnet, Sophie Taillé-Polian, Boris Tavernier, and Nicolas Thierry. #Démocratie #ZFE #Politique (translated)
