Ledarsidorna.se criticized Magdalena Andersson's objections to the Swedish Prime Minister's security policy focus on Sweden's neighborhood and the Baltic Sea. The writer described the criticism as an echo of Sten Andersson's and Pierre Schori's time and claimed that the ideas were still deeply rooted in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The writer believed that a less vigilant stance would betray Alexander Stubb and the foreign ministries of Finland, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, and Poland. As a Finnish Swede, the writer stated that they were well aware of what Russia represented and claimed that the Social Democrats and Magdalena Andersson did not reflect the Finnish and Finnish Swedish view on security policy in their spontaneous comments to Politico. The writer called for more Finnish and Finnish Swedish determination and warned that otherwise, Sweden could again become subordinate to Kremlin. #svpol #sverige #säkerhetspolitik #finlandssvensk (translated)

The author wrote that Donald Trump had announced that he would take no action against Iran before November 3, which is the elections in the US. He described this as an important step in the development of democracy, using a distorted, offensive term. He compared this situation to a hypothetical decision by F.D. Roosevelt, who in May 1944 would have suspended the Overlord and Market Garden operations and the battle in Leyte Gulf until after the elections. #Trump #Iran #demokracja #IR #US (translated)

Mika Merano wrote that it was not about class but corruption. He claimed that Members of Parliament, other significant and former politicians, and their close circles received rewards on the boards of associations funded by tax money or directed funds to their own projects. According to Merano, organizational subsidies and, for example, the funds used for Garden Helsinki were taken from elsewhere and were also reflected in the support received by poor families living on subsidies. He accused politicians of pursuing their own and their close circles' interests and expressed his anger towards such activities. #korruptio #politiikka #veronmaksajat (translated)

Actu Foot relayed an anecdote told by Pierre Sage, who indicated that he always had a house in Lyon. The previous summer, while he was buying sunglasses at the Galeries Lafayette in Lyon, a man aged 55 to 60 approached him and broke down in tears. His wife was also crying. The man explained to him that he was very scared of losing OL and wanted to thank him. Pierre Sage said that the scene made the man, his wife, his partner, and himself cry, around a sense of belonging that he described as indescribable. #Lyon #OL #Emotions (translated)

Otto Juote criticized the National Coalition Party for allegedly abandoning its values and becoming an assistant to the right-wing government. He wrote that disappointed voters were shifting to support the Left Alliance and the Social Democratic Party and questioned where the previously promised projects, such as Garden Helsinki, senior spa vouchers, and the sale of natural monopolies to international investors, had gone. Juote ironically described the National Coalition Party as a leftist social-liberal party, which in his view had previously supported, among other things, state-owned projects, service vouchers, increased immigration from developing countries, climate actions, and support packages. He claimed that the party had also held onto acquired benefits while it spoke of cuts and reducing debt. Additionally, Juote asked why discussions about entrepreneurship, economic growth, and warnings about right-wing policies seemed to have disappeared from the party. He wrote that Orpo's National Coalition Party no longer reflected the pragmatic interest group and system party that he had previously supported. Juote estimated that he would likely vote for a red tie-wearing socialist in the upcoming elections instead of a blue tie-wearing one for the first time. #Kokoomus #Vasemmistoliitto #Politiikka (translated)

Jérôme Coupez stated that he spoke up due to false information and its consequences. He indicated that threats against players, their families, or teams were taken seriously and reported to the relevant authorities, and that he wished to avoid escalation and protect the players. He claimed that his team had not sought to leak the situation and wanted to resolve it privately. According to him, no negotiations or agreements with other teams had taken place before the end of the Worlds, out of respect for the players, teams, and ongoing contracts. He also clarified that his team did not receive commissions on transfers or buyout clauses. Regarding image rights, Coupez explained that players could have individual sponsors, provided they did not use their team's visual identity. They could also participate in collective activations with their team's partners. He added that teams retained certain categories of sponsors and that his team worked with them to coordinate partnerships. He specified that his team did not own the players' rights but helped them find sponsors. Finally, Coupez asserted that he had the elements to support these statements and indicated that he would communicate further if necessary in due course. #Transparence #Esports #ProtectionDesJoueurs (translated)

🚨💣 BREAKING : ▪️#ManCity will attempt to demonstrate its innocence by asserting that certain sponsorship contracts were partly financed by the Abu Dhabi government, rather than by the Abu Dhabi United Group, the private company owned by Sheikh Mansour. According to this argument, these agreements would therefore not constitute a violation of the rules. ▪️ The "irrefutable evidence" put forth by #ManCity throughout the case with the Premier League consists of bank statements from the government and testimonies presented at the hearing. They show that money was transferred from government accounts to sponsors, who then used these funds to pay @ManCity. ▪️The independent commission determined that Sheikh Mansour was unaware of what it describes as a series of "fictitious" agreements. On appeal, #ManCity is expected to argue that it is implausible for Mansour to have been unaware that nearly £830 million of his own money was being used in this manner. The club is also likely to contest the use of the term "fictitious," arguing that it is not merely a word indicating something suspicious, but a legal term that has been improperly applied in this case. ▪️#ManCity's lawyers are also expected to challenge the time taken by the independent commission to render its verdict. They will argue that, in this type of case, decisions should normally be made within three months after the hearing ends, so that judges maintain an accurate memory of the examined elements. According to City, this delay would render the decision “legally unsafe.” The club will also emphasize that it presented 24 witnesses at the hearing, while the Premier League provided no witnesses confirming the existence of the alleged conspiracy.
