Daniel Plzák wrote in a post addressed to Barbora that it did not surprise him if people trusted Olga Menzelová more than the wife of the man he derogatorily called a carousel operator. He claimed that this woman wanted to achieve victory in the elections through concerts of a representative of the socialist cadre. #volby #politika #Česko (translated)

A young Finnish person reported that British Christian police officer Luke Salmons, 46, won a legal battle against police administration. According to the report, Salmons challenged the claim that Islam is a religion of peace in diversity training and raised questions about jihad, Hamas, and Gaza. He was suspended from work two days after the training, and the police department deemed him guilty of a serious misconduct. Salmons was added to the Police Barred List, which effectively prevented him from working in law enforcement. The young Finnish person wrote that Salmons appealed the decision, and North Yorkshire Chief Constable Tim Forber later determined that it was not a serious misconduct nor a breach of professional standards. Salmons was then removed from the barred list. He subsequently filed a lawsuit for religious discrimination and harassment, as well as for violations of his freedom of religion and speech. North Yorkshire Police settled the matter before it progressed to an employment tribunal, and Salmons received financial compensation from the police. The amount of the settlement was not disclosed in the report. #oikeus #uskonnonvapautta #monimuotoisuus (translated)

Kutil then compared Filip Turek to Don Quixote, who fought against windmills, and Petr Macinka to his nodding sidekick Sancho. He wrote that Turek set off against the wind turbines in a thirsty eight-cylinder Mercedes G-Class, while behind him stood a coal mine. The author ironically added that the result of such a battle could be a landscape marked by quarries, tailings ponds, and chimneys, and questioned the idea that an opponent of wind farms must be a hero. #DonQuijote #českákrajina #větrnéelektrárny (translated)

Angelika Bazalová wrote that Igor Chaun demonstrated a filmmaker's sensitivity to the moment during his meeting with fifteen-year-old students. She described their conversation as a testament to the times and was particularly amused by the moments when the girls were unsure how to spell his surname. She reminded the students that Chaun was among the student leaders of 1989 and stated that he had directed approximately 60 documentary and feature films, written a number of screenplays, including the screenplay for the 1992 film Requiem for a Doll, and directed Czech Soda. Bazalová also criticized that someone explained to Chaun why, in his opinion, a "spy in a jet" was acceptable. She compared it to the behavior of communist officials before the Velvet Revolution, who, according to her, preached equality but considered themselves superior. She wrote that the particular spy behaved similarly and referred to himself as "the first among equals." She recalled the concerns at the time that the country would return to the past after thirty years and expressed her pity for Chaun. Finally, she noted that the girl in the background was visibly fidgeting during her classmate's speech, which, according to her, might have meant that she was having a hard time with the situation. She added that Veronika might still change her mind as she gains more sense. #dokumentárnífilm #sametovárevoluce #historie (translated)

Ján Simkanič wrote that the elections revealed the weakening position of Andrej Babiš and the ANO Movement. He compared Babiš's post-election speech to the output of artificial intelligence that makes up answers without the necessary groundwork, claiming that Babiš has run out of ideas and capable people who could join him. Simkanič predicted three years of governance with no benefit to the country, full of excuses, manipulations, and lies. He also warned of a possible attempt to aggressively control what he believes is still remaining, from public media to financial flows to the capacity of citizens to resist. He added that with increasing intensity, such steps would become more noticeable and ultimately unsuccessful. He called for the defense of everything that can be defended, even in small parts. #volby #Babiš #politika (translated)

David Rangl published a text that he described as a transcript of Andrej Babiš's response to a question regarding the ANO party's results in Prague. In it, Babiš was attributed with the claim that the movement did not lose, only received fewer votes, and that the result was bad. The text further connected the European Union with a green lemon, the electoral failure of Motorists with parking, and Tomio Okamura with not exceeding the five percent threshold. Babiš was also attributed remarks about the Pirates and Somalia, colonoscopies, and penguins that do not fly. According to the text, Karel Havlíček was supposed to prepare an eighteen-page analysis of penguin walking. #volby #politika #ANO (translated)

Laura Korpinen wrote that in her opinion Volodymyr Zelensky's term had ended when Donald Trump stated his position, and that Ukraine would make peace. She urged Finnish decision-makers to limit the damage they had already caused and to humble themselves so that Finns would not suffer any more due to the elite's inability to stay away from great power disputes. #Ukraina #rauha #politiikka (translated)
