Two Ethiopian peacekeepers were killed in the attack, while seven others were injured. I express my deep condolences to the families & #SouthSudan #Peacekeeping #UNPeacekeepers #SS #ET
Earlier today at the UN, Ireland co-sponsored the UNSC Resolution on Accountability for Crimes Against Peacekeepers. Such attacks on UN Peacekeepers are a violation of international law and those responsible must always be brought to justice. #UN #Peacekeepers #Accountability #IE
Today I laid a wreath to commemorate the nearly 4,500 people who have lost their lives since @UNPeacekeeping began almost 80 years ago. And I was humbled to posthumously bestow the Dag Hammarskjöld Medal to 68 peacekeepers who have made the ultimate sacrifice. My thoughts are also with those injured in the attack, and I wish them a full recovery. #UNIFIL #Peacekeepers #Lebanon #LB
