Éloïse Coulombe 6d

Éloïse Coulombe wrote that her campaign had ended the day before and expressed pride in her team and the work accomplished on the ground. She thanked the residents of Charlesbourg for their trust and said she would continue to meet with them as a member of parliament. She congratulated the other candidates in Charlesbourg—Gabriel Coulombe, Marie-Josée Morency, Georges Goma, and Seynabou Top—and described the campaign as friendly and respectful, focused on ideas, substance, and debates. Coulombe also expressed pride in her conservative colleagues and congratulated elected officials from other parties, adding that she hoped to work with them in the interest of Quebecers. #Élections2023 #Charlesbourg #PolitiqueQuébécoise (translated)

Dimitris Soudas wrote that, since the night before, several people had been trying to explain Éric Duhaime's success or to claim a part of it. He stated that Duhaime had achieved the best result for a conservative party in Quebec, at the provincial or federal level, since Brian Mulroney. According to Soudas, Duhaime had normalized conservatism in the province, built his party, and worked on the ground, all while keeping his course despite those who shunned him or advised taking distance. He attributed the victory to Duhaime, his team, and his activists, reminding that victories had many fathers while defeats were orphaned. #ÉricDuhaime #PolitiqueQuébécoise #Conservatisme (translated)

FRANK 6d

FRANK wrote that he commented on the election night with his friend JC Ouellet and Donald Charette, whom he described as a wise veteran. He said it was too early to draw a definitive conclusion but believed that Éric Duhaime had run an excellent campaign and would return to the National Assembly with several deputies. According to FRANK, Charles Milliard had performed better than expected, and the Liberals had created surprises on the South Shore of Montreal and in Jean-Talon, Quebec. He also praised Ruba Ghazal for limiting his party's losses in a campaign where, according to him, left-wing ideas were not very popular. FRANK stated that Christine Fréchette had made history with the worst result ever obtained by an outgoing government in Quebec. He described PSPP's victory as deserved but bittersweet: the party had gone from 3 to nearly 60 elected officials without obtaining a majority and had lost its long-standing lead in the national capital, where it had not elected any deputies. He attributed this result in part to the PQ's position on the third link. Finally, FRANK wrote that the CAQ might be on life support and that the referendum was too. #ÉlectionsQuébec #PolitiqueQuébécoise #AnalysePolitique (translated)

Jeff Fillion predicted that the PCQ would win 25 seats and that the PQ would form a minority government. He also estimated that the CAQ would be wiped off the map, blaming it for its attitude towards the population during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. He added that the candidate he described as shady in Arthabaska could lose his seat, and then he urged his followers to vote. #Élections2023 #Voter #PolitiqueQuébécoise (translated)

Whether we aim for at least 12 deputies or 20% of the voting intentions, the real objective is to advance our ideas. And in that regard, I think we have already won. Until October 5, I will continue to speak to everyone, on all platforms. I want to convince as many voters as possible that we need to rethink the Quebec model. We can no longer continue like this. We have hit a wall. We need to change direction. I was a guest of Paul Larocque to discuss this: #PolitiqueQuébécoise #Élections2023 #Changement (translated)

The people of Saguenay and other regions of ⚜️ will vote massively for the PQ. This will be your last F-150, your last Silverado, and your last RAM to go to your fishing cabin with your side by side, your ATV, or your ski-doo. Your PQ hates you.

Rien n’a changé.
