Afgelopen vrijdag kregen wij het bericht dat onze zoon Nick in Zuid-Frankrijk een zeer ernstig motorongeluk had gehad. Wij zijn dezelfde dag naar Toulon vertrokken. Toen we aankwamen bleek hij z’n rug gebroken te hebben met verlamming van z’n benen tot gevolg. Inmiddels is hij twee keer geopereerd en kunnen we ambulancevervoer naar Nederland gaan regelen. Een persoon heeft ons een enorm hart onder de riem gestoken. Toen Anneke Stam op vlucht KL1470 van Marseille naar Amsterdam op 16 september mijn vrouw in huilen zag uitbarsten is ze bij haar gaan zitten om haar haar verhaal te laten vertellen en heeft ze ons de rest van de reis in de watten gelegd.
