This summer, analyses of the impacts of climate change on the Dyje River basin and the Želivka River basin were processed, and work is underway on data processing in other locations, such as the Švihov water reservoir, Trnka described to the editorial team. #sucho #Vltava #vodnízdroje (translated)
Oldřich Drápal wrote that something among the paddlers surprised him. He referred to Professor Pafka as an exceptional person and stated that thanks to what he achieved in the Czech Republic, he can write today. He also recalled his remark during the visit about a patient who, as a cellar master, was used to smoked meats and pork belly, and therefore, according to him, needed a selective diet to gain weight. https://t.co/hHDLrO0kTi #voda #učitel #přátelství (translated)
Miroslav Trnka from InterSucho warns that the current water supply system in the Czech Republic may not be sufficient to manage the drought, which is indicated by a dramatic decrease in water levels in the Husinec reservoir, and emphasizes the need for long-term investments and the construction of new water reservoirs. #sucho #vodníhospodářství #klimatickázměna (translated)
Drought and reduced outflow from dams led to a significant decrease in electricity production from hydropower plants on the Vltava, which now amounts to only 40 to 50 percent of the long-term average. #voda #sucho #přehrady (translated)

The author wrote that a state of water shortage was declared and that the reduction of the minimum flow from the Vltava cascade at the Vrané waterworks from 35 to 20 cubic meters per second was intended to slow down the drop in water levels at Slapy. https://t.co/uAPN8y7VsB #voda #životníprostředí #klima #CZ (translated)

"A horrific attack by two Russian drones on a civilian ship in neutral waters that was carrying corn and is owned by Turkey. There were citizens of Azerbaijan and India on the ship. For now, unfortunately, we know that the captain of the ship has died. I express my condolences. The fate of another person is still being determined. Eleven crew members were rescued, one of whom is injured. Ukraine has repeatedly proposed concrete steps to de-escalate the situation and ensure safety in the Black Sea. There have also been appropriate proposals from third countries. But Russia persistently chooses terror and the sinking of civilian ships instead of normal navigation. Pressure is needed to restore global food supply security. And everyone who is truly interested in this must help." Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky claims that the attack was carried out by Russian drones, and there were citizens of Azerbaijan and India on the ship." #CrnoMore #napaddronovima #globalnaopskrbahranom (translated)

Lukáš Eršil stated that Claude AI created a 3D model of the National Theatre for him after four days of interaction and adjustments, mostly during the evenings. According to him, the model captures the building in seven stages from the foundations to the dome from 1868 to 1883, the fire in 1881, and the subsequent restoration. It also includes a section of the building, a ten-layer X-ray of the technical equipment, and a night scene with the illuminated facade and trams. Eršil added that the model offers 49 interactive locations with descriptions in Czech and English, and he redrew the partitions on all floors according to the original plans from 1883. He estimated that the cost of creating the design using traditional methods was about 3 million crowns based on Czech price lists and would take four to five months of work for six to eight people. He published the code for free on GitHub and mentioned that he added a link to it as well as the executable Artifact in the comment. #3Dmodel #Národnídivadlo #ClaudeAI (translated)

The patrons of the Czech Republic (Perun is with us) stated that the drone Geran 4 contained European SIM cards and had long been tested with Czech cards as well. They asked why operators could not disable the SIM cards when, according to them, Starlink could deactivate a modem flying at a speed of 500 km/h. They claimed that Ukrainian operators had not done this either and admitted that someone might have simply forgotten to instruct them to modify the software. The authors further stated that Geran can fly up to an altitude of 7 km and that the SIM card there "sees" more transmitters than from the ground, which could help reveal its unusual use. They estimated the costs of a solution to be at most hundreds of thousands of USD for each operator. They called on Europe to prepare and prevent the use of networks for attacks on western Ukraine. As a possible solution, they mentioned fraud management tools, which they claimed allow operators to disconnect a suspicious SIM card for several hours. They added that the reasons for inaction could also be money or the fact that operators were not addressing the problem themselves. They inquired with O2, Vodafone IT, TwiyKyivstar, TMobile, and lifecellua about why this could not be done. #Geran4 #Ukrajina #SIMkarty (translated)
