Update Olivia Brasil

Update Olivia Brasil claimed that voters in Rio de Janeiro were prevented from democratically choosing the governor and requested a second round of elections. She alleged that Douglas Ruas and Anthony Garotinho acted to disrupt the elections and that, in a decision from the TSE taken by five votes to two, Ruas was elected without popular voting. The author also stated that flyers and campaign materials associating Eduardo Paes with the numbers 13 and 22 were distributed throughout Rio. According to her, more than 200,000 voters who intended to vote for Paes had their votes annulled in the first round due to entering an incorrect number on the ballots. Olivia Brasil also stated that Eduardo Paes would appeal to the STF against the TSE's decision and would request a second round. She defended popular sovereignty and expressed support for Paes's candidacy, number 55. #DireitoDeVotar #EleiçõesRJ #SoberaniaPopular (translated)

A Update Olivia Brasil stated that Bella Hadid was the first artist to ask about the movement and show interest in it. She also thanked the platforms that, according to her, joined from the beginning to spread the message of Brazilians to the world. The author said that Bella Hadid, Finneas, and Rachel Zegler's positioning and concern for Brazil could show those who disagreed with the movement that their supporters were on the right side and perhaps influence votes. #BellaHadid #Movimento #Influência (translated)

Olivia Brasil stated that one of the main laboratories at the Federal University of Pernambuco was set on fire that night. According to her, the incident occurred the day after UFPE students mobilized against fascism and in support of Lula's re-election, a movement that, according to the author, received threats. Brasil also mentioned that the laboratory was located next to the Student House, where dozens of university students lived. She cited messages in WhatsApp groups in which a representative of the PL in Pernambuco mocked the protest and stated that the group would hold a demonstration the following week. #UFPE #Fascismo #LiberdadeDeExpressao (translated)

Update: Olivia Brasil stated that Flávio Bolsonaro intended to amend the 1988 Constitution and "redemocratize Brazil" with a right-wing majority Congress. She said that the Constitution guaranteed rights to life, health, retirement, and minorities, in addition to social and fundamental rights, and urged voters to cast their ballots for number 13 in the second round on October 25 to protect the country and these rights. https://t.co/bTI3LunNXZ #Redemocratização #DireitosHumanos #FuturoDoBrasil (translated)

Update Olivia Brasil stated that the profile was managed by six female university students, among them students from public institutions and scholarship recipients from private colleges. According to the group, some were beneficiaries of Bolsa Família, members of CadÚnico, from the Northeast, living in favelas and marginalized areas of Rio de Janeiro or LGBT. One of the members said she was a Northeastern migrant woman living in the largest favela in Latin America and stated that her mother worked hard to provide her with a better life. She wrote that her work on the profile also represented other people and expressed concern about what she considered a surrender of the state and the country to people who rejected her existence and that of those close to her. The group reported having suffered an attempted censorship the day before, when the profile was hacked. They said they continued to express their views on relevant topics and that the portal, created in 2023, had always shown its political stance. They also stated that they feared for their own safety and said that comments from people within the same fandom made them feel unwell and encouraged attacks from opponents of Lula's re-election. The group requested respect and stated that rights and futures were at stake, with no time for ego disputes. (translated)

Olivia Brasil stated that her Instagram account was hacked and made private after information was posted. She said she did not receive alerts via email or mobile about access attempts and that she did not click on suspicious links. She also denied that the published data was hers and asked for help to recover the account, mentioning Erika Hilton, Lula, PT Juventude, Cortez, and Livies. #Instagram #SegurançaDigital #Ajuda (translated)
