Yvonne Kussmann wrote that 22-year-old student Marius Dick was stabbed on July 15, 2026, around 10 a.m. in Trier on a pedestrian path by 22-year-old Afghan Sajad M. After the act, Sajad M. was taken to a psychiatric clinic. There is a suspicion that he was incapable of culpability or had diminished culpability due to a mental illness, Kussmann wrote. Sajad M. had already been in a psychiatric clinic before. Despite repeated inquiries, the public prosecutor's office has not yet informed Kussmann whether he was committed at that time due to a danger to others. Marius's parents gave an interview to the Trier Volksfreund. Four weeks after the death of his son, the father suffered a heart attack and had to undergo surgery. He is currently in a rehab clinic and is supposed to come home on the weekend so that his wife and younger son are not alone. Kussmann wrote that Chancellor Merz called the parents shortly after the act because Marius’s mother was politically active in the CDU. The father reportedly urged Merz to immediately deport immigrants who had committed offenses to prevent further acts. This was a promise that Merz had made before the election. The father is now disappointed because, in his view, nothing has happened. He said that such acts could happen to anyone and accused the government of not protecting citizens. He said this would tear the CDU apart and could lead to other parties taking power. Germany is currently at a turning point, he also reportedly said. As of now, Sajad M. has not commented on the act. Kussmann wrote that she is looking forward to the trial with anticipation and fears it could end with an acquittal due to insanity and placement in overcrowded preventive detention. She announced that she would ask the public prosecutor's office again in the following week about the possible conclusion of the investigation and the status of the forensic psychiatric report. The interview can be found in the comments. #Trier #Gewalt #Justiz (translated)

Yvonne Kussmann reported on the murder of 24-year-old CDU young politician Christoph R. in January 2025, stating that Mamadou Alpha B. cut his throat and then burned his body. The crime was committed nine days before the expiration of his residence permit. In the trial, Mamadou Alpha B. was deemed unaccountable due to paranoid schizophrenia, and his placement in a forensic psychiatric institution was ordered. Kussmann questioned the verdict. In her opinion, the man's behavior could also be explained by the rites and beliefs of the strictly Islamic Fulla ethnic group to which he belongs. She wrote that the illness had never been diagnosed before the crime. Kussmann noted that the Cottbus Administrative Court had already dismissed Mamadou Alpha B.'s lawsuit against the rejection of his asylum application in July 2021. According to her, the reasoning of the judgment reveals that he provided different dates of birth in his asylum application in Italy and lied during a hearing at the BAMF. Kussmann stated that this had no impact on his stay in Germany. She wrote that the perpetrator should not have been in Germany anymore and mentioned that she had revised her research text on the case. Furthermore, Kussmann requested support for her portal Aktuell Informiert. She wrote that expenses currently exceeded revenues. Donations were intended to facilitate research, court visits, on-site appointments, technical expenses, and the expansion of the portal. https://t.co/0RvVD8whhG #Politik #Asyl #Rechtssystem (translated)

Yvonne Kussmann reported, citing the spokesperson for the Ministry of the Interior of Baden-Württemberg, that the 27-year-old Afghan entered Germany in December 2015 and applied for asylum. The BAMF rejected the application in January 2018 and threatened deportation to Afghanistan. A lawsuit by the man was dismissed by the administrative court in July 2021. Since then, he has been subject to enforceable deportation. Because deportations to Afghanistan were suspended from August 2021, he initially remained in Germany. After the federal government, under Interior Minister Dobrindt, organized regular deportations to Afghanistan again and obtained replacement documents more frequently, the government presidency of Karlsruhe initiated a passport procurement procedure for the man. His identity had been unclear until then. In early October, the local regulatory office delivered him a letter asking him to report to the General Consulate of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in mid-October. This did not happen. It is still unclear whether this is related to the incident in the Tuttlingen town hall, where the man appeared with a firearm and was shot by police officers after allegedly firing at them first, Kussmann wrote. According to Kussmann, the man had been convicted in Germany of bodily harm, trespassing, property damage, theft, and threats, resulting in fines. From October 2025 to April 2026, he served a substitute prison sentence. He was not registered with the special unit for dangerous foreigners in Baden-Württemberg. #Tuttlingen #Asylrecht #InnereSicherheit (translated)

Yvonne Kussmann reported, citing Bavarian Interior Minister Herrmann, that the suspect in the shooting case in Berngau was a hunter and sport shooter. He allegedly shot two employees of the district office at his home during a routine weapon check the day before. According to Kussmann, the 60-year-old German legally owned ten firearms and had not previously come to the attention of the police. There were also no findings about him in police files or with the state protection and constitutional protection agencies. Investigations into the incident, in which a 45-year-old man and a 54-year-old woman were killed, are ongoing. #Waffengewalt #Kriminalität #Sicherheit (translated)

Yvonne Kussmann wrote that several media outlets reported that the 27-year-old Afghan, who had been shot by police officers the day before, was subject to deportation and that his removal had already been prepared. According to media reports, he had prior convictions for bodily harm, theft, and damage to property. The Rottweil public prosecutor's office could not confirm this information to her upon request, given the early stage of the investigation. It also could not answer questions about possible commitments to psychiatric clinics due to a danger to others. The public prosecutor's office cited the deceased's personal rights and the early stage of the investigation as reasons. It was only confirmed that the man had come to attention due to theft offenses and property damage; he had not received a prison sentence. Kussmann announced that she would check back in a few days and report on it. #Tuttlingen #Polizei #Abschiebung (translated)

Yvonne Kussmann wrote that there are still no traces of Muhamad M., who escaped from the secure psychiatric facility Altscherbitz in Saxony on September 25, 2026. According to a report by FOCUS from the previous day, the 22-year-old Afghan used his first approved accompanied outing in the unsecured clinic area to escape. The only caregiver who accompanied him could not hold him back, Kussmann wrote. She asked the clinic if there was a directive to respond exclusively verbally in the event of an escape and not to use direct force. As a comparison, she referred to Ahmad N., who, according to her account, escaped from the secure facility in Wiesloch during a similar outing on September 8, 2023. Caregivers had followed him to the later crime scene; there he fatally stabbed the 30-year-old cashier Lisa with a knife he had previously stolen in a TEDI store. Kussmann also requested explanations regarding an assessment expressed by the clinic, according to FOCUS, that no further crimes were to be expected due to long-term medication for several weeks. She asked among other things when the medication had started and how long Muhamad M. had been stable before his escape. He had been accommodated since October 2025; on June 30, 2026, the regional court in Leipzig ordered his permanent accommodation. At the time of the judgment, further crimes were anticipated, and according to Kussmann, there was also a lack of insight into his illness and willingness to undergo treatment. The clinic rejected both questions, citing safety aspects, patient protection, and medical confidentiality. They also emphasized that those accommodated were clinic patients with a statutory entitlement to treatment and not inmates of a correctional facility. The medical management has its own assessment and discretion in therapeutic measures. Kussmann wrote that she forwarded her inquiry to the responsible ministry and shared the search alert again. In the meantime, another photo has been published. https://t.co/rNiWoDmLNM #Flucht #Sachsen #Gesundheitssystem (translated)

Yvonne Kussmann wrote that she had asked the public prosecutor's office in Stade for information on the status of the investigation into the sixfold murder at the beginning of the week. According to the press spokesperson, the investigations against the child's mother and the driver of the getaway car were ongoing. There were no further reportable developments; in complex and extensive proceedings, this is part of the nature of the matter. When the investigations could be completed is currently not foreseeable. #Ermittlungen #Sechsfachmord #Staatsanwaltschaft (translated)

Yvonne Kussmann reported, citing the Südwest Presse, that a 27-year-old Afghan appeared at the town hall in Tuttlingen with a weapon and was subsequently shot by the police. Before that, he had applied for a fiction certificate there, which could serve as proof of legal residence for asylum seekers during an ongoing asylum procedure. The document was not issued to him; after that, he was removed from the building. Kussmann wrote that the man then returned with a weapon. The reason why the certificate was not issued was initially unclear. The 27-year-old was known to the police and in the city for psychological disturbances, she wrote. She announced that she would submit an inquiry regarding the case. Kussmann compared the incident to the attack in Illerkirchberg: A 27-year-old Eritrean had attacked 14-year-old Ece and her friend with a knife on the morning of December 5, 2022, as they passed by the accommodation of Okba B. on their way to the school bus. The man wanted to go to the district office to kill staff of the immigration authority because they had not issued him a travel document. Kussmann wrote that he assumed the girls had seen his knife and would notify the police. Ece was so severely injured that she died two hours later in the hospital; her friend was able to escape after the first attack and survived with serious injuries. Kussmann wrote that the case in Tuttlingen ended differently and did not require any uninvolved victims. #Tuttlingen #Asylrecht #Gewaltprävention (translated)

Yvonne Kussmann wrote that after several days due to illness, she is back on the road to recovery. As her first news, she read that a 27-year-old Afghan known to the police had allegedly entered the town hall of Tuttlingen with a weapon at noon. The employees had locked themselves in and notified the police. According to Kussmann, the man shot at rescue workers in front of the town hall; they then shot him. Witnesses reported hearing five shots, and attempts at resuscitation were unsuccessful. Tuttlingen had actually been a nice little town, Kussmann wrote. Her research on the case of Liana K., who was killed in Friedland, is now almost complete and is expected to be published by the weekend at the latest. #Tuttlingen #Nachrichten #Kriminalität (translated)

Yvonne Kussmann reported that a male person was attacked and injured in Ulm last night. According to her information, the attack took place in front of the Friedrich-List-Schule in the city center; bloodstains in front of a school entrance indicated this. The police were on the scene and searched for the weapon. There are currently no further details from the police or the public prosecutor's office, Kussmann wrote. She announced that she would continue to report on new information. #Ulm #Polizei #Sicherheit (translated)

After the Federal Prosecutor's Office announced yesterday that a Kuwait-born suspected IS fighter was arrested in Hesse and a Syrian suspected war criminal was arrested in Rhineland-Palatinate, I made a press inquiry. I wanted to know when the suspects entered Germany, whether they applied for asylum, and what residence status they had at and after entry as well as what they currently have. I also wanted to know whether the suspects had previously been known to the police for similar crimes or violent offenses or had a criminal record. Shortly after that, I received a call from a spokesperson for the Federal Prosecutor, who informed me that they did not want to provide any further information due to the protection of the suspects' personal rights. I took note of this and wrote a rebuttal, citing the necessary weighing between the public's interest in information and the specific, worthy interests of the affected suspects. I pointed out that my questions 1-3 exclusively concern the stay of the suspects in Germany, withdrew the fourth question (because one can argue here with the presumption of innocence and personal rights), and requested answers to questions 1-3. Lastly, I asked to at least name the year of entry and answer the question about the asylum application if more detailed responses are not possible. In case no response is given, I requested confirmation of the refusal to provide information as well as a concrete justification. I received the response earlier via email, see screenshot. They concluded, after weighing "all possible aspects," that the personal rights of a suspected IS fighter and a suspected war criminal, who is accused of executing three people with a close-range headshot, weigh more heavily than the legitimate public interest in knowing how long the suspects have been in Germany and whether they entered the country as asylum seekers. Well then. This does not correspond to my understanding of transparency. In this context, I would like to point out that you can also support my work. Any support helps to make research, court visits, on-site appointments, technical costs, and the further expansion of my portal Current Information possible. Unfortunately, at the moment, the costs are higher than the revenue. I would therefore be very pleased and grateful for any support. Good morning everyone, on September 13, there was an alleged rape of a minor in the community accommodation in Kölleda (Thuringia). Yesterday, on September 30, the Erfurt police informed about this. So no, they actually didn't inform but merely clarified that there are speculations and false claims regarding the case in social media, which one should not participate in. For over two weeks, they did not consider it necessary to inform the public about the alleged sexual offense in a community accommodation involving a minor victim. Only after it was spread online did they feel compelled to say something while also stating that no information would be released about what happened. Therefore, one should not be surprised about rumors, speculations, and subsequent false claims. This handling is typical, as looking at the press releases after entering the relevant search terms in the police reports from 2025, just over 100 reports appear. However, according to the PKS, there were actually 14,454 cases of rapes, sexual coercions, and sexual assaults in particularly serious cases last year. The public is thus informed only about a fraction of the crimes. I inquired why the public is only being informed now, after rumors have spread. I also asked whether the suspect and victim are residents of the accommodation, how old the suspect and the victim are, what nationalities they have, and if the suspect has had previous police records for similar offenses or violent crimes. If I receive a response, I will report back. Most likely, as the police report reads, they will often refer to personal rights and want to deny the answer. #Vergewaltigung #Kriminalität #Öffentlichkeitsarbeit (translated)

The Federal Public Prosecutor today had two people arrested. The Kuwaiti-born Nuri A. was arrested in the Landkreis Waldeck-Frankenberg in Hesse. He is said to have been a member of ISIS since 2016 and was also active as a fighter until spring 2017. The Syrian Ibrahim A. was arrested in Neuwied in Rhineland-Palatinate. He is accused of having joined a militia as a commander in Syria in 2012. In 2015, he is said to have taken three alleged regime supporters prisoner. The prisoners were forced to confess to attacks on Ibrahim A. and other members of the militia. Ibrahim A. is then said to have shot the three prisoners in the head at close range. I inquired with the Federal Prosecutor's Office since when the two terrorists have been in Germany, whether they applied for asylum upon or after entry, what residence status they possess, and whether they are known to the police or have a criminal record in Germany. I will report back once I receive a response. #Terrorismus #Sicherheit #Rechtssystem (translated)

This is the Old Country Road in Sankt Georgen in the Black Forest. A 19-year-old woman was walking on this sidewalk on Monday afternoon around 5:30 PM. A 23-year-old Syrian then suddenly attacked her from behind and hit her with his fist so hard on the back of the head that the young woman fell to the ground. Fortunately, several passersby came to the 19-year-old's aid, causing the attacker to flee. He was quickly found during the immediate search. He was admitted to a psychiatric clinic. I have inquired with the police in Konstanz about the circumstances under which the 23-year-old was admitted to a psychiatric clinic, whether he has already come to the attention of the police for violent crimes, and whether he is still in the clinic or has already been released. The response came earlier. Due to the assumption that there is a danger to others, the suspect was taken to the clinic. The police were already aware of the Syrian from the past, but not only for bodily injury offenses. The police do not know if the suspect is still in the clinic. I would like to point out again that Chancellor Merz promised before the elections to permanently remove such offenders from the streets by placing them in indefinite detention for deportation. That was a lie. Therefore, the police have little recourse against these offenders, other than a few hours of detention or a few days in a clinic, to protect the public from them. Such an attack against random victims in public space is unfortunately usually not enough to issue a detention order. The 23-year-old will soon be running free among us again. #Schwarzwald #Gewalt #Sicherheit (translated)

#Justiz #Opferrecht #Gesellschaft

Grooming Gangs in Nürnberg.
