I wanted to thank all of you, truly from the heart, because the many messages that arrived during and after the ceremony were a small, great relief for the elderly father of @StefanoVerbania. A man from a generation in which social media did not exist, but who wanted, together with Fabrizio, his other son and brother of our Captain, that all of you could be present in that little church in Verbania. When scrolling through your messages seemed never-ending, his eyes were filled with new tears, this time of joy. Stefano was not just a friend of mine; he was a friend of all of you, and this idea was conceived for you. I understand the skeptics regarding the choice to live stream the ceremony, but it was actually the young priest who gave me the answer for them with a phrase that I will carry with me forever: "Technology is just a tool, and in this case, it served to deliver Stefano's soul to Our Lord, accompanied by the love of those who cared for him from afar." I thank @acmilan once again for being present at the ceremony, but especially for deliberately choosing the number 6, as a sign of total respect for what was a true Captain of the fanbase. Imperfect at times on the field, the Rossoneri club always proves to be present in times of need and is made up of fantastic people with great sensitivity. Returning from Verbania, I remembered the many times we promised to watch a Milan game together, comfortably seated on the couch; instead, I reached him to say goodbye forever. This is something I will never forgive myself for. I said goodbye to him for the last time before they took him away, whispering the old chant of the Fosse dei Leoni, because that was Stefano, a Lion in a world of hyenas. #ForzaMilan #Ricordo #Amicizia (translated)

Ciao Stefano. Ti abbiamo voluto tutti bene e continueremo a volertene. Forza Milan, sempre. ❤️🖤 Riposa in pace. #Milan #ForzaMilan #RiposaInPace

Stasera atteggiamento giusto e zero rischi dietro.

Speriamo bene. Forza Milan, sempre. #ForzaMilan #Calcio #Mentalità
