Tsibos wrote that, according to what happened in Como, the NBA's proposal that both sides had said they would not discuss was ultimately the only one that was discussed and rejected. He also noted that factions had formed, despite the unified stance that had been presented in previous days. According to him, the rejection was not so definitive, as the NBA was given a 30-day deadline to potentially submit a new proposal with better financial terms, without a franchise being announced — something that, as he wrote, constituted a red line for the NBA. He added that the parties sought to obtain money from new franchises without conceding shares, and wondered whether the NBA would accept the deadline. #NBA #sports #Κόμος (translated)

Vas. Papatheodorou wrote that most shareholders were initially positive about the creation of franchises, but they did not want their percentage to be diluted with the entry of new shareholders from day one. He mentioned that as long as negotiations with the NBA continued, which, according to him, did not desire new shareholders, the discussion about which team would acquire a franchise, such as PAOK or Dubai, was postponed. He added that when the issue was brought back up, a gradual inclusion of teams into the EuroLeague should be considered, and then the acquisition of shares, instead of the terms that had been discussed until then. #paobc #paokbc #euroleague #nbaeurope #euroleague #nbaeurope #paokbc (translated)

Vas Papadopoulos wrote that Giannakopoulos did not attend the meeting of owners in Como. According to him, G. Angelopoulos had expressed the strongest criticism of the NBA proposal, calling it "colonial and unacceptable," while Barcelona had referred to it as ridiculous. Real had requested 30 days to submit a new proposal. Papadopoulos also mentioned that Olympiakos had opposed the proposal, with Baskonia and Armani agreeing with him. Panathinaikos, according to the post, had requested renegotiation with the NBA and had supported the franchise, a position also agreed upon by Fenner. #paobc #euroleague #nbaeurope #euroleague #nba #basketball (translated)

GFrei.News reported that McDonald's announced on September 23 during an investor day in Chicago that it would support franchisees with approximately 8.5 billion US dollars by 2036. This is intended to make the company more competitive again. The author explained that he has been going to McDonald's only once or twice a year on average for the past ten years, and therefore perceives the changes particularly clearly. In his assessment, the quality has declined and prices for fast food, which used to be cheap, have risen significantly: one now pays nearly seven euros for a Big Mac. He doubted that customers remained loyal to the company primarily because of the food, and suspected that habit and advertising played a role. Furthermore, GFrei.News criticized that there are no longer many students and schoolchildren working in the restaurants. He spoke disparagingly about today's employees and complained that some hardly spoke his language. The original idea of having young people from the neighborhood quickly serve affordable food of consistent quality has largely disappeared. McDonald's has thereby lost its identity, he wrote. #McDonalds #FastFood #Qualität (translated)

Guillaume Herblot criticized the proposal he attributed to Antoine Léaument during an intervention on BFM TV, according to which insurers should "bear" the damage caused to shop windows, buses, and town halls. He accused Léaument's camp of having left responsible individuals for these degradations on the street. Herblot considered that the costs would be passed on to policyholders through increased premiums, including those for municipalities, businesses, and individuals who did not cause any damage. He also predicted that the repetition of claims could make certain city centers difficult to insure, raise deductibles, and increase the costs of municipal contracts. He described the proposal as a transfer of costs from the perpetrators of the degradations to the contributors. #Économie #Assurance #Politique (translated)

🔴 We know more about the tensions between Esteban Ocon and Haas since last season, according to @wearetherace! 🔍 Haas has gradually blamed the Frenchman for not taking enough responsibility for his difficulties, becoming defensive when the results were not forthcoming. Despite a collective effort at the beginning of 2026 to better align Ocon and his side of the garage, tensions reportedly resurfaced with the team's struggles. Haas finds him too combative internally, questioning the specifications of the cars and the performance gaps with Bearman, while exploring what are deemed futile adjustment avenues. For his part, Ocon would simply feel he is being frank and demanding to help the team progress, as requested upon his arrival. Haas would therefore be turning against him what it initially expected from him. Upon returning from the summer break, Komatsu would have informed him that he had little chance of being retained. Given his results at that moment, Haas felt it could no longer justify his multi-million dollar salary. However, money would have played a secondary role in the choice of his replacement: if Haas were to prioritize only finances and marketing, Hirakawa would be the obvious choice, according to the British media 💰 #F1 #F1 #F1 #EstebanOcon #Haas (translated)
