Moni on toivonut keskustelua sijoitusvarallisuuden avulla elämisestä, tässä tulee ajatuksia… 💸 Aihe on haastava, sillä toimimalla optimaalisesti on mahdollista vaikuttaa elämänlaatuun merkittävästi. En itse ole asiantuntija, enkä ole jäänyt varhaiseläkkeelle, vaan elätän itseni sijoittamalla aktiivisesti ja treidaamalla. Jos en siinä onnistu, niin etsin muita töitä. Aika moni tuntuu ajattelevan yksinkertaisesti, että jos osakkeet tuottavat keskimäärin noin 10% vuodessa (mikä tekisi esimerkiksi miljoonalla eurolla satatuhatta vuodessa), niin ostamalla koko rahalla vaikka maailmanindeksiä voisi suhteellisen helposti elättää itsensä. Siinä tulee kuitenkin helposti unohtaneeksi mm. verot, inflaation ja osakkeisiin liittyvät riskit. Eli pahimmillaan tuotot voivat olla negatiivisia vaikka vuosikymmenen ajan. Se on toki poikkeuksellista, mutta riski tuntuu hyvin todelliselta kun miettii työuran päättämistä. Selvästi turvallisempi vaihtoehto on sijoittaa velkakirjoihin, mutta niissä suurin riski on yleensä inflaatio, mikä voi jättää reaalituoton nollaan tai negatiiviseksikin. Lisäksi on monta tapaa hävittää oma sijoitusvarallisuus (mm. kulukurin pettäminen, uhkapelaaminen, treidaaminen, huijaukset), eikä säästöillä eläminen siten sovellu kaikille. Valitettavasti et voi tietää varmuudella, että koskeeko tämä sinua, ennen kuin kokeilet. Ei tietenkään ole helppoa rajoittaa kuluttamista, kun tilillä lojuu miljoonia, varsinkaan kun elämä on täynnä yllätyksiä… Yleisesti puhutaan neljän prosentin nyrkkisäännöstä, jossa sijoitat 50-75% osakeindekseihin, loput velkakirjoihin ja sitten nostat 4% salkusta vuosittain (lisäksi korotat aina nostoa inflaation verran). Miljoonan pääomalla nostaisit siis 3333 euroa kuukaudessa, ennen veroja. Se voi jollekin olla riittävästi, mutta on syytä huomioida, että tämäkään strategia ei ole riskitön ja rahat voivat loppua parissa vuosikymmenessä, tai nopeamminkin jos pörssi romahtaa ja inflaatio jyllää. Valitsisinkin itse ilman muuta strategian, jossa noston suuruus riippuu salkun tuotosta. Koska pääomaan kohdistuva riski on silloin pienempi, niin suuremman osan voisi sijoittaa osakkeisiin. Jotkut ostavat korkeaa osinkotuottoa tarjoavia osakkeita ja säätävät nostoja vaihtelevien osinkojen mukaan. Ei mielestäni huono strategia, mutta todennäköisyys kasvaa, että tulee ottaneeksi liikaa riskejä. Markkinoiltahan löytyy osakkeita, joiden osinkotuotto on kymmeniäkin prosentteja, mutta selvää on, ettei se ole kestävä taso… Mielestäni ensimmäinen havainto, kun tätä kaikkea alkaa miettimään on se, että mitä pidempään viivästytät eläkkeelle jäämistä, sitä paremmin ja turvallisemmin loppuelämäsi elät. Ehkä parhautta on se, että löytää itselleen työn, jonka parissa viihtyy. Moni lopettaakin työelämän vaiheittain tai tekee harrastuksesta työn, kuten minäkin olen tehnyt.
