Ziņas par Latvijas valstspiederīgajiem Nepālas traģiskajā notikumā Pagaidām vēl ir cerība atrast mūsu Latviešus dzīvus. Šovakar Ārlietu Ministre @Braze_Baiba sazinājās ar Nepālas ārlietu ministru, lai pārrunātu glābšanas operāciju un jaunāko informāciju par Latvijas valstspiederīgajiem. Pēdējo divu dienu laikā ir izglābti 260 cilvēki, tostarp daudzi ārvalstnieki. Diemžēl bojāgājušo skaits mērāms jau tuvu tūkstotim. Plūdi un nogruvumi bijuši tik postoši, ka cilvēki un viss, kas atradies to ceļā, aizskalots pat 100–200 kilometru attālumā. Bezvēsts pazudušie ir 2-3 tūkstoši. Sakaru daudzviet joprojām nav. Situācija ir ļoti sarežģīta, valda haoss, taču glābšanas operācijas turpinās. Un, kamēr tās turpinās, ir arī cerība. Mums zināms, ka Nepālā atradās aptuveni 43 Latvijas valstspiederīgie, un pastāv bažas, ka daļa no viņiem varētu būt cietuši šajā traģēdijā. Vienlaikus ir parādījusies cerīga informācija. Ir ziņas, ka cilvēku grupa īsi pirms postošā nogruvuma paguvusi šķērsot robežu ar Ķīnu. Šajā teritorijā pašlaik nav sakaru, tādēļ precīzas informācijas par cilvēkiem grupā vēl nav. Latvijas Ārlietu ministrija sazinās arī ar Ķīnas pusi. Aptuveni 45 minūšu brauciena attālumā no robežas, nelielā kalnu pilsētiņā, iespējams, atrodas ārvalstnieku grupa. Esam lūguši Ķīnas pusei pēc iespējas ātrāk noskaidrot šo cilvēku vārdus. Pastāv cerība, ka viņu vidū varētu būt arī Latvijas valstspiederīgie.
