"This fraction, one in eight cancer patients, is the same fraction as that of lung cancer among all cancers diagnosed in the U.S. It is not a rare or insignificant problem," said Dr. Patrick Moore, holder of the Innovative Cancer Research Chair at the University of Pittsburgh, adding that IARC estimates could also be "very conservative," meaning that "the actual fraction of cancers caused by infections is probably even higher." #Cancer #Infecții #Prevenție (translated)

The author wrote that a university in Pittsburgh paid students $5 a night if they slept more than seven hours and that in Singapore people were paid for reading for fifteen minutes. He contrasted these initiatives with the past, when, according to him, it was enough for a parent to tell their children to turn off the light. He argued that today, if one cannot order someone to do what is good for them, they are paid; the post ended with a reference to education. #educazione #studenti #innovazione #US #SG (translated)

The author wrote that in Pittsburgh, a university paid students 5 dollars a night if they slept more than seven hours, while in Singapore, people were paid for reading for a quarter of an hour. He contrasted these incentives with a parent's call to turn off the light, noting that today, when you can't order someone to do what is good for them, you pay them. He then introduced the topic of education. #Educazione #Incentivi #Pittsburgh #US #SG (translated)

#CSDBerlin #ViolencePrevention #Deradikalisierung
