Pohjois-Eurooppaan rakennetaan parhaillaan järjestelyä, jonka avulla Britannia ja joukko Suomen lähimpiä kumppaneita voivat pahassa paikassa ryhtyä sotilaallisesti toimeen nopeasti myös ilman Natoa. Tämä on iso muutos. Jos Venäjä joskus haluaisi testata länttä, sille olisi edullista synnyttää mahdollisimman epäselvä tilanne. Britannia on Euroopan vahvimpia sotilasmahteja, ydinasevaltio ja maa, jolla on kyky tuoda Pohjois-Euroopan puolustukseen kaikkea F-35-hävittäjistä laivastoon ja sukellusveneisiin.
